I hope people know that this is the ROTF model of Optimus Prime. They hadn't completed the TF3 model before this poster was released. I'd call it more of a promo poster than a teaser. Teaser posters usually include something that slightly hints at something new in the upcoming film. This is just Prime.

On another note, am I the only one who thinks it looks like Prime is standing on another planet? That or he's standing in the sunset with ashes of destruction floating around him. Either way, it's a cool shot.

Yes there will be new designs, but the new models are definitely not completed. There's still a year away from release. It's highly unlikely that they will do a render from any work in progress for the poster.

I say Optimus look same, maybe his Trailer combined with Optimus make look heroic? Or Optimus get heavy damage and fight then he will look Heroic?

Optimus Prime get new mold Leader Class, and including Trailer. It's will very hard transforming to robot and very trick accuracy.
Optimus Prime get new Human Alliance. it's huge and masterpiece? If make new Human Alliance Jetfire will have very huge like Fortress Maximus?
Or Just Reuse ROTF Optimus Prime and new mold trailer?

 

The posters great much better than ROTF posters. But is extremely hard to find the little differences from those two pics. What Is obvious that He has broad shoulders and smaller waist.

It's too early in the game for ILM to be done with the character models. My bet is on that this is the same model from ROTF and they put him in a pose for the poster and hit render... just using the old model to save time and money.

The only difference I can see is maybe the thighs. Notice the thighs looks slightly different when compared to the shot of Prime from ROTF... But we are gonna need to see TF 3 Prime in better angles to be sure...

 

Right away, I notice:
1- Shoulders are wider and more forward.

2- More mass in the chest

3-Wheels on thighs are different

And why on Earth shouldn't ILM be done with Prime's new model? They have a shit ton of robots to do on this movie and they probably started before they said they were doing it. Who knows how much time passed before the production meeting where they made that call. Yes, the movie is coming out in a year but you do all the model building NOW and start animating as the shots are sent to you. They will work and tweak things until the end but they are probably working on the animations....now. Bay is sending them footage and they are working.

Oh, and as Prime is the hero and they are making a teaser poster with him on it, of course they finished him first.
