How do you plan to have Transformers in Liverpool Action? Beast Wars doesn't have human characters so if the Transformers are CGI, how is this really any different from BW as is?

Because this time the beast modes will all be ultra realistic animals with very dull expressions:lol

Animals transform into robots could be cheaper than vehicles.

kind of hard to imagine tbh. My idea would be to have robotic versions of their beast modes and make them look like real animals with holographic disguises. That way flesh and fur can simply dissappear when they transform or use weapons rather than the nightmare scenes of an animal splitting apart to reveal a robot hiding under its skin

I doubt it. You could always just buy vehicles, you can't just buy cheetahs, gorillas and T. Rexes. I mean you could but you'd get in trouble, especially for that last one since they don't want you to know that T. Rex still exists and is controlling us all like we're puppets. A BW show would just be all CGI again only better CGI.

But then that completely ruins the appeal of having organic beast modes. Might as well just go Transmetal, though they'd still have organic robot modes. Also I don't see how it'd be nightmarish unless you made like the skin tear and bleed which isn't necessary. (but kind of badass)

Get a load of these two and their correct opinions. Let's get a BW looking like a metal album cover. Chrome, viscera, and explosions.

Best digivolving effect easily. Reminds me of a more badass version of Galvatron's reformatting. It sucked when Guilmon and Terriermon went back to bad CGI, though Renamon still got really high quality Ultimate and Mega stock footage for some reason.

A live-action Beast Wars anything should look like this: 2D Artwork: - Beast Wars art, ongoing

They also mixed it with traditional cel IIRC. The actual digivolving would be cel-shaded CGI but them switch pretty seamlessly to traditional.

All this makes me think of is the Lion King "live-action" remake where all of the characters were rendered in photorealistic, but dull and expressionless CG.

TBF it was more of a poor decision to go for 'realistic' animal expressions (despite the characters still speaking) and not necessarily a fault of the CGI. I think a BW movie like that, but with more expression on the characters' faces, would be badass.

    Yes.

Why would it be live action if everything would be rendered in CG? Unless there's suddenly a human cast.

I don't know. The initial toy bios had BW set on modern day Earth. Run with that, but with the established Maximal and Predacon factions and characters and have them infiltrating Scotland.

Of course, it would really require a different cast since a lot of the classic BW cast's altmodes would suck for infiltration, especially in a city. But done right it could be an interesting take. Maybe we'd finally see Bat Primal and "Megatoron" in action!
