So I had just recently finished watching GaoGaiGar and was wanting to have some more Brave robots to add to my TFs. I already had plans of doing something with the Skyhammer mold, initially intending to turn him into Whirl. However watching Volfogg's support mecha in action gave me a better idea. After some minor alterations to the head and a bit of paint later I have this. This is technically my first TF custom, so I wasn't interested in going all out making him look exactly like Gun Glue. Just changing the head and some paint aps was good enough for me. The only thing I may end up adding is a GGG logo somewhere on him. I also plan on arming him with some shurikens/throwing stars in keeping with the ninja theme Volfogg had. The original Gun Glue for reference:
Very clever painting his "nose" the same as his visor. Creates the illusion of a different shaped one. At first, seeing the head, I thought it was a completely new one! Nice work
Thanks! I'm very much an amateur and don't have the skill to do a Big Volfogg. But I've been contemplating on doing a Gun Dober. I'm just not sure what mold I'd use. Have been leaning toward one of the Arcee bikes. Even though Gun Dober's character model was more masculine, he was just a drone, so I'm personally not opposed to making him a femmebot TF. Besides there aren't that many bikes out there I'd find appropriate as a base.
Possibly Tailpipe? If so, you're right. He even has the hover mode. Not too keen on the robot mode though. If I find him I'll try customizing him. He was already on my want list anyway. Just haven't seen him in my area though.
