Pteranodons maybe, but some other pterosaurs were ridiculous:

    Same for me.
Best one out of all the Core Class Dinobots.
The only other one I got was Scarr.

I'm also looking at some 3rd party options as well.
I really like Newage Freyr, but it's decidedly more animation style.
Plus the little guy is pretty expensive.

I know, his size is closer to a Quetzalcoatlus.
But his alt mode anatomy is an even worse fit for one of those.

    I saw that video
It's been criticized by paleontologists for being highly dubious.
The T-Rex wouldn't give up a meal to the flying stick figure.
And the Quetzal' is only known to hunt small prey and thought to scavenge, so it wouldn't risk trying to fight off a much more massive predator that could easily kill it.

Sucks but it cool to me, all I need really and also acting like animals. Pro of not being 100% deep in what is and isn’t accurate in that community.

The series is praised for it's level of accuracy for the most part.
It's just a handful of scenes here and there that are a bit too dramatized for their own good.
This one in particular was pointed out, tho.
    So I recognized it immediately.

Those Lower Legs seem out of proportion, I don't know if they were shortened due to a cut corner or a need to be scale accurate in bot mode it seems very weird because with the way Swoop's legs transform, that part is depicted in the artwork across comics, cartoon and the toy as proportionally longer. The Beak seems a bit chonky, the torso seems very barrel-chested in dino mode. technically it may be Fine, and I will probably love it in hand, but it looks like somewhere between the design and the Engineering/production something was tweaked.

I guess that's a fair point, but I still don't see how it's impossible for him to "un-transform" just his arms/hands without having to fully go back to robot-mode.
I recall Armada Starscream, for example, doing something similar. His hands fold into his arms in jet-mode, but they can just as easily come back out while still being a jet.

But that's just how it looks to me.

Don't forget Scourge, who is famous for sticking his head out of his alt mode.

I don't really remember, aside from Scourge, G1 Transformers half transforming in the cartoon. Other than the Swoop attack too. It was more of a novel, one off thing at the time.

Animated BB popped out a robot arm from car mode more than once to grab stuff. "Partial transformation" isn't unheard of, it's just not common. Really depends what the writer feels like doing.

Aesthetic choices aren't "cut corners" like you initially claimed.

That's just the Generations house-style they've been going with since Siege. Everybody's just a little extra broad and chonky. His proportions line up against his Dino brethren.

actually if you remember I said Seemingly cut corners, I never outright stated it to be true. Dude why do you need to correct me when I never stated my opinions as fact and I even stated I'm not sure what's going on. I don't want to be snippy, but you are coming off as Needing to defend Swoop from all criticism.

perhaps "cut corners" shouldn't be our default criticism response to literally everything, opinion or no

You're not being "needled" over opinions, but over consistency.

You initially complained about cut-corners, and when asked to justify, you came up with aesthetic nitpicks instead.

I have zero stake in whether you buy the toy or not, but if you can't even hold to your own argument, then it looks like you're just complaining to complain.

For real. I remember when "cheap, Playskool" was the default criticism for Armada and Energon toys, and now that era is held up as peak quality by those who can't abide the sight of hollow gaps that are present in every other Transformers "Generation".

Octane did during Starscream's Ghost, he was in truck mode but had his head and arms sticking out
