Nowhere is this thing called a Transformer, considering it IS 3rd party. It is exactly what it's stated to be: non-transforming model kit of sorts, lots of articulation, and includes die-cast parts.

Who was it that was asking about the possibility of model kits with Transformers characters?
This was in relation to the really nifty Bandai kits of Star Wars characters. And I remember saying that it'd be totally do-able if they didn't have to transform.
This looks like a neat kit and the design is, I'm sure, one that is very little represented, so fills a niche that others have not. Seems smart.
I'm not too flustered by the does not transform thing. I like plenty of toys that do not transform. There's room in my imagination for such things to exist.

I guess you ignored the part where I also stated "I refuse to ..."

Never said this looks bad. It's a great looking figure (and that's considering I'm not keen on the TFU models). I am also very pro toward putting together figs (you should see my Lego and model kits collection). I am, however, not particularly fond of non-transforming Transformers figures. To me, it defeats the purpose.

Yes, I loved the DMK01 a lot, however, the Bumblebee kit did turn out to be a bit of a hot mess. If Takara would release a few of the major characters like ROTF Megatron, Sentinel, Starscream, or Ironhide, it'd be easy purchases.

Disappointed in the size, but since I wouldn't be using this as "a Megatron" he is a nice non-scale figure that I could probably stick into any scaled collection from Legends to MP... :)

Pretty interesting that they took a page out of DMK. Hopefully this means we'll be seeing more characters from TF Universe show up.

Holy Unicron Batman! Color me interested. Although I'm annoyed it doesn't transform I think this will be a nice fill-in Megatron until I can get a proper one. Plus it's nice to see TF:Universe get a little love. I hope to see some more game characters like this should this model pass. :)

So were the Prime toys. And the movie toys. Even RID to an extent. It's not that hard to translate a design to a toy design by choosing which bits to keep accurate and which others to sacrifice for transformation while keeping the aesthetics pleasant.

That said, I don't mind model kits. I do mind that they didn't match the proportions though. The actual ingame model is way more beefcake while this is just kind of lanky.

im interested in the concept (not this character), if lack of transformation/altmode brings the price down and hopefully adds to botmode accuracy.

I wish they'd figured out a way to make him transform (such as the trans-scanning toys), but regardless, this thing is quite impressive. I like it quite a bit. Hopefully having detachable metal pieces won't ruin its stability and solidity.

    I want it~!

    But monies.

These poor guys, they never had a chance. A non-transforming, third party (read: "expensive") figure from a game that never was, AND it's a couple years off-topic at this point.

Y'know, I wanna hate this as an Actionmaster (even a useless gun mode would be better), but it's also the only option for having this lovely design.

Will NEVER be into figures claiming to be Transformers that do not TRANSFORM.

I would love toys from the Universe designs. But I definitely am fine with sacrifices made to robot mode proportions in order to have them transform. Otherwise I don't see me having a lot of fun with it. I'm a fiddler, not a poser.

I like it. I'll pick it up. Kind of hoping they'll tackle some of the Prime designs too. I have MPs for my transforming toy fix, so action masters are okay if the sculpt is good (and this does look good).
