After watching rotf again , jetfire says that "there were 7 Primes" and in TFP it is stated that there were 13

    Which am I to believe?
Or are these completely different primes ?

Has any one else noticed this?

    There were originally 13 Primes.

    Who would you believe?

ROTF - made by Michael Bay

    or

    TFP - Made by Hasbro

7 of the 13 Original Transformers had "Prime" in his/her name although the 13 Original Transformers could have been a Prime ex. Prima.

Good point, but wether they had Prime in their name or not, there were still 6 other Primes.

it was originally planned to be 13 primes, leftover of this can be seen on defiance, Games, the ROTF Adaptations and most of the tie in media of ROTF, but was changed to 7 primes, but whoever those primes are, they are the same guys from prime, g1 and all continutys, for fix up this problem hasbro said in one of their Q&A from 2009 or 2010 that in The movieverse there were 13 Original Transformers but only 7 were born as primes in the movieverse

Maybe there were only 7 known Primes during the time Jetfire put himself into stasis?

Somebody should probably tell Hasbro that somebody made some movies about Transformers then!

I mean, it's not like they have to approve and sign off on everything that goes into the movies...

It was originally going to be 13, as that's the number in all the tie-in media, and is an obvious reference to the Thirteen, who at that point hadn't been talked about very much, but who were at least known to exist. Then, for whatever reason, the finished film changed it to 7. Hasbro basically tried to massage this in a later Q&A by saying that there were 13, but only 7 of them had "Prime" in their names. It's since been proven at least partially true, with the subsequent revelations that Alpha Trion and the Liege Maximo are members of the 13. Assuming that Prima counts, though, we do now know all seven with "Prime" in their name - Prima, Vector, Megatronus, Solus, Alchemist, Nexus and Amalgamus. Whether they follow through on this when they reveal the names of the remaining few, well... let's see.

(Not, mind you, that not being CALLED Prime doesn't seem to stop ALL of the Thirteen from actually being CONSIDERED Primes. It's dumb.)

Both 13 and 7 are valid. I guess you could say that...
    *sunglasses*
    ...they are prime numbers.

It's 13. These are way better than the 7 in the movies. And which BOTH are made by Hasbro..

But the TFP series offers the more accurate depiction of the Original Primes... In which there were 13 of....

*sigh* The Live action movies aren't in the same continuum as the rest of the lore.. Movies have 7, all else have 13.

    Pretty much this.

    Fixed.

The movies are made by Hasbro just like TF Prime is. And Prime is produced by the same dudes who wrote ROTF.

    So yeah.
