Well, Pete told us on the boards there are 7 of each side, and that some of the 'cons are small, but still cons. So...

    Autobots:
    1. Prime
    2. Grimlock
    3. Goldbug
    4. Jazz
    5. Ricochet
    6. Rodimus
    7. Blurr

    Decipticons:
    1. Starscream
    2. Megatron
    3. Razorclaw
    4. Mini-con from Megs/Roddy 2 pack
    5. Mini-con from Blurr/Sideswipe 2 pack
    6. Sideswipe
    7. Windsheer (Sideswipe's minicon)

So, Blurr has to be an Autobot (and is likely the Cybetron version, with it's "new" head, and a key instead of the minicon). Some on the club boards are guessing Tracks.

I think you're double-counting a single Mini-Con. Other than Pete's 7-on-7 statement (where is that, by the way? I didn't hear that one), I've seen no reason to think that the Blurr/Sideswipe set is coming with two Mini-Cons. But for both 5 and 7 to be true, that's what we're getting.

Maybe someone with more "in-the-know" can clarify, but I'm guessing that the minicon molds are 3 in one mold. So, the classics predator team will all be made (3), and the Arm Wheeljack mold also has his minicon on the mold (also guessing like the planet keys).

I could definitely be wrong, but it makes sense. We get a 3-pack of minicons, and a mold that comes with his own. So 4 minicons total.

And here's Pete's statement, in this thread on the TFCC board (page 3).

That link won't work for most folks because of the "request timeout" language involved. Once you've signed in, try this one. But even still, that's helpful. I missed that the first time.

Now, I don't pretend to know how they'll get to those numbers, but I'm pretty confident that you can't get a pack of 3 gang-molded Mini-Cons out of what we know, because 1) the Classics Mini-Cons apparently weren't gang-molded the way the Armada/Energon ones were. 2) The Mini-Con we expect to get with the Armada Wheeljack mold, we expect because it is gang-molded with Armada Wheeljack.

That said, here's how I count the rumor so far (just counting Decepticons and Mini-Cons):

    Decipticons:
    1. Starscream
    2. Megatron
    3. Razorclaw (Mini-Con Overbite mold)
    4. Mini-Con from Megs/Roddy 2 pack (unknown mold)
    5. Mini-Con from Blurr/Sideswipe 2 pack (presumably Sideswipe's gang-molded Mini-Con)
    6. Sideswipe
    7. unknown Mini-Con (the gang-molded Mini-Con from Armada Blurr, perhaps? This might be possible even if the Cybertron Blurr head is used....)

When Blurr and the other Armada remolds were released with Cyber Keys, didn't Takara release the Minicons that were gang-molded with them seperately? I'm guessing the mysterious Minicon might be from the Incinerator mold.

I like the set size has seemed to grow a bit.

    And TracksBlurr would be sweet.

The idea of 4 of those slots being taken by Minicons does not sit well with me. I don't think they should even be counted as individual toys; I mean, these are toys that when sold separately are sold in 3 packs at the same price point as one Scout.
So we may well be getting more toys this year, but 4 of them are small and relatively pointless ones that really don't count to me as one TF each.

Count three of the minicons as one scout and it's about the same as last year.

all i gotta say is...... two crosswise molds. TWO.
it would be funny as hell if they released a third, put a beard on its face, gave it flames and called it rodimus.

Yes, and last year 3 Starscream molds, and the year before that 2 Clocker molds and 2 Divebomb molds, and the year before that 4 Buzzclaw and 3 Arcee molds. They always do this, keeps costs down.

True, we are getting several mini-cons this year, but you have to balance that against the other size classes we're getting.

In the main set, we're getting:
    2 - Voyagers (1 Autobot / 1 Decepticon)
    3 - Deluxes (3 Autobots)
    1 - Mini-con (1 Decepticon)

    Free convention exclusive:
    1 - Deluxe w/ Paint Aps (Autobot)

    Loose Pack 1:
    1 - Voyager (Decepticon)
    1 - Deluxe (Autobot)
    1 - Mini-con (Decepticon)

    Loose Pack 2:
    2 - Deluxe (1 Autobot / 1 Decepticon)
    2 - Mini-con (2 Decepticons)

Now I would have rather seen the size breakdown to be a bit more even between the 'bots and 'cons, but I can't complain about the sizes we're getting. Counting 3 mini-cons as a scout, the final breakdown looks like:

    3 - Voyagers
    7 - Deluxes
    1 - Scout

I think that compares pretty well with past years, especially with only one mold used more than once this year.

I'd say it exceeds past years -

    2007:
    2 Voyagers (Dreadwing, Alpha Trion)
7 Deluxes (Seekers, Bug Bite, Springer, Weirdwolf, Clear Mirage)
    1 Scout (Huffer)

    2006:
    1 Ultra (Megatron)
    1 Voyager (Primal)
    2 Deluxes (Rhinox, Dinobot)
6 Scouts (Cheetor, Tigatron, Rattrap, Waspinator, Buzzsaw, Laserbeak)

I've not got info on 2005 to hand, but I think it is mainly Scouts, a couple of Deluxes, and one Ultra.

Going by Locke's reasoning, we're getting an extra Voyager over what we had last year. That's pretty good going.

Which Megatron are we getting? That crappy small version from the Toys R Us 2-pack? Or the cool large version? If it's a voyager then I assume it's the crappy small one.:(  But 2006 had an Ultra Megatron so......???

Megatron= Energon Megatron. I assume it's the small version.

I thought the (rumored) Super Link Mega/Galvatron mold was technically an ultra, not a Voyager (or leader class in the off chance of using the western version.)
