The results of Aaron Forsythe's poll from last week are in and they're not too encouraging.

I wonder if this wasn't a way for the WOTC R&D team to dodge the responsibility of making another CCG that would only be around for a year or two. They pushed the GI Joe one pretty hard and it died pretty quickly.

I'm not that surprised. I mean, TCGs are kind of a joke now, partially because of the fact that EVERYTHING had a card game at one time. I mean, OK, so Magic, Pokemon, Digimon, and Yu-Gi-Oh were best-sellers. But there was also a Sailor Moon one, an X-Men movie one, a Gundam one, and even now we have Fullmetal Alchemist, a History Channel game, The VS system, and a dozen others. The market was flooded, so as a result, most people are burned out by them.

Like it matters - aren't those readers all busy tapping mana and producing stone golem ogre dragon cards from their sleeves (or whatever the hell they're doing) to care about TF anyway?

Never was big into CCGs myself, only two I ever really liked were MtG and and a lesser known game called Magi Nation.

    Thank goodness.
At least TF won't be completely whored out.
    Who plays these TCG's anyway?

Eh it doesn't make much sense to make a card game to have Transformers fight when people can just pick up their actual Transformers and play with them.

If one was made I buy it - but from a collecting stand point. I bought the WOC G.I.Joe TCG they made, but I don't play it. To me, they are just a branch of the non-sports card industry.

Well that sucks.... I was hoping they would be more specific in their poll as in card game or miniatures game... part of me believes a miniature game would gather more votes.

Craaaaazy kids! A friend of mine works security at Target and told me he once caught a kid stealing YuGiOh cards. The kid's excuse was "there's a big tournament tomorrow and I needed to be ready!"

Yeah, we need THAT in the fandom right now...

This is good news for the people who always complain about lack of money, especially those who wanted this.

Now you have more money for TFs.

Exactly, I would rather take the brand in directions that have a better chance of success.
