*sigh*, not sure what i'll do about that visor. i would have preferred proper eyes, sculpted and/or painted. hopefully that's something i can fix with a little paint. maybe a colour change would suffice. i've kind of sworn of caring about accessories to avoid the hassle and/or extra cost. but in this case an arm on the back is part of the design, which is hard to ignore…
Although he's fine in quadraped mode, I prefer chromeribs when he's standing on his hind legs. I somewhat alleviated the loose claw peg by drilling a hole in the side of the joint. This meant there was less air trapped in the peg hole, so the claw wouldn't pop off as easily.
Got Roarmeo today, wasn't a fan of his wings and smoke bomb being detachable like that (and needed to transform, at least going by the manual). Color looks nice in both mode, but generally I don't find the transformation intuitive, and not enjoying at tbh. Might be one that I'll transform less
Depending on where you want the wings to end up you can leave them on during transformation. IMO they look kinda strange attached to the lower front legs but they will transform from that position. For the bone, yeah totally true.
Like others, I like the dogs as mono-color, but the combined mode looked a little too mismatched for me with solid legs and body halves. So I swapped some parts around and got something much more appealing.
Delta's neck is on a sort of "telescoping arm". This one's gap practically looks like a severed head; as a point of reference, I always thought the "neck filler panels" on the Jawbreaker mold was kind of a nice touch. On the plus side, there is a definite evolution of engineering for the box transformation; Delta's box mode is pretty janky where newer molds are of course, fairly solid. But stylistically, Delta appeals to me more. Pros and cons I guess, but this one just isn't doing it for me.
With luck they might do that for a CL version of the mold? It would be easy to swap the visor for a piece that just has natural eyes instead.
I think Sigma's neck is a thorough historical research Just take a look. This is no longer Triceratops, but Brachiosaurus LOL
I absolutely love Sigma's look. Reminds me of a Gammarauder, which was a board game when I was a kid. Everyone picked a big cyborg beast as their main character, though you also had futuristic human armies. Ricochet also reminds me of a Gammrauder, and I love that guy as well:
Sigma's looking awesome. There's a neck-cover, so that concern is addressed. I'm impressed how dense the final cube ends up being; they're really using as much volume as is available. To be honest, I definitely miss the original BeastBox aesthetic/design direction, with their chibi beast modes and simpler transformations. I love where the line is now, and I'm excited to see what they can do with the bigger box size, I just wish new chibi designs were also being produced side-by-side. I hope that railgun bonus is easily purchusable on its own, because I feel like this figure really invites twin railguns.
