I'd be barry surprised as their references seem to lean a little harder.

 

I dunno, I tend not to like "normal" names-- even if they're in reference to something-- or normal-ish names like Clawde. The names for the Beastboxes recently have not been great. I want names like Gunpowder, Desertmeteor, Kannibal, Bloodstone, Blazing Spear, etc. again.

How similar is the overall feel compared to havoc and stratosphere? It looks like it shares a lot of DNA with that mold. Is the transformation similar?

 

General concept is identical, tuck the head into the belly, fold up legs, cover both sides with the wings. But only the concept is the same, there are no common parts at all. Overall feel will have to wait till I get a one in hand.

I've seen listings for the book, but none of them mention a thing about Tiger Dio...

 

Loving the flamingo, especially the name! I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan, so I was already planning to name him Floyd. Glad to see 52Toys went that route  

@Beastbot X , I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on this. As a connoiseur of terrible puns I cannot let you say Roarmeo and Jawliet are bad names. They're fantastic haha. Although I still think SoulTornado is my favorite  

 

The JTW listing where it says "Contain all parts as images" and it shows the Tiger Dio in some of the photos, is about the best I can find right now. Granted, I haven't unwrapped mine but it comes in a nice box/package that contains the book and presumably the Tiger Dio that's been shown with the book. I'd love to get a second Tiger Dio just so I could leave the book box sealed.

Those both look alright. Probably a pass from me but nice enough.

 

Retooling the flamingo into a Japanese White Crane is a good step, but the yellow eyes really don't work for me. I would change the eyes to black if I do get it.

 

I'm liking that crane! I'll probably wait for that version of the mold.

 

Both look pretty good. Personally, crane looks a little too happy, but no doubt it'll be a good figure. And what I'm looking for

I might wanna get that Angler. Those collars are killer on the bee, and surprisingly good on the anglerfishm give it a nice finish
