To be honest, I don't really like the bat mold and I'm disappointed with the new colors. I hope the actual product is better than I think it will be. It has already been decided.
I dig that VIP bat's name, Swampire. Its deco has a real Toxic Avenger/Toxitron vibe. Gazelle is interesting, like the crossroads where formula one, moto gp and robot pants meet. I still haven't opened Cheetah yet, maybe I'll just wait until I have both in hand?
I've still got to get Cheetah anyway.. Since I opted to wait till either Amiami or HLJ have them for preorder.. DOH!!

It’s planned as a separate purchase. VIP members should get it for free if Gazelle becomes selectable I guess. Comes as a model kit runner so we will have to snip and assemble.
For those that got the AliExpress VIP sub, and I know this may be a little early to ask, but how's that been treating you? Or more importantly, will you re-up next year if offered?
Yeah, I’m definitely getting value out of it. The ease with which I could get stuff like Heihu without stressing about being online at a certain date and time makes things a lot easier. I would get all the boxes anyway; paying in advance for a bunch of them, getting early links to preorders and easy access to the VIP exclusive makes it a bit of a no-brainer for me.
Basically my response. And, quite frankly, just the VIP figure itself is practically worth it given how much those go for on eBay after the fact. (I just got Lovetrap in the mail a few weeks ago-- skipped on Black Waltz because of the GPS issue.) I can't use the coupons because you have to have the Aliexpress app (and I don't want another app on my phone, purchasing is much easier on a normal computer IMO), so that's a minor bummer, but even if there were no free figures and all you got was the VIP toy and easier access at the Limited Edition stuff that would still be worth it to me. I am definitely reupping if they give me the chance. And speaking of the VIP figure, I personally would've picked another mold than the bat but WOW WOW WOW that is a great color scheme. I love those wacky '90s color schemes and this fits right in! It's not "Swampire" to me, it's "G2 Radioheadar".
Ah yeah, I forgot the first dibs benefit. I had an alarm set for 4am or something to try and nab a copy of Heihu. I haven't regretted subscribing to the VIP program, echoing the sentiments above. The only growing pain is that I had to contact the e-mail liaison about not getting certain notifications after the initial barrage - that has since been corrected. There is inconsistency regarding which alerts go out through the AliExpress website and which are sent via e-mail.
I think the VIP membership needs improvement. The discount coupons are almost useless because the conditions for using them are too strict. (In most cases, it is cheaper to use coins on AliExpress.) Also, the VIP FREE PRODUCT cannot be exchanged for expensive products such as Oasis.
I get your other complaint, but this one... Well, I mean... if you don't want it, you can sell it for like $200 on eBay and be able to buy many expensive products.
It started off as a “includes 12 boxes a year that you can’t choose” with people complaining that they don’t fancy all 12 items. Progressed to “includr a few 4cm, 5cm and our new 7cm” but another group voicing out that the 7cm are stinkers and they don’t want any. To current year which is “ok it’s cheaper and you can pick 6 BB/BD regulars as you like with dibs to purchase on limited edition ones” but it still isn’t the best for all of us. Having seen the progression of the VIP membership I’m still sure it can’t blanket satisfy every collector’s needs.
