Just based on the pictures he seems identical to the original, I am a little bit surprised about the price, expected it to be lower considering other KOs

Well it's almost half the price of the original, so I may pick up one for my season 2 or 3 shelf. Bought the original for my season 1 shelf.

 

If this is identical to the original then I think this price is fine. If it comes with a bunch of the typical KO issues like bad joints, off-looking paint, alt mode not tabbing in properly etc then it's way too much.

The quick pace of this release makes me worried it's not great, but I hope I'm wrong.

I'll wait for a video review before purchasing.

 

I have 2x of the official already, will wait to see in hand images, hope they are least fix the eyes for this one

 

I suppose it was too much to hope for that they would fix the dead eyes. Don't know why this continues to plague so many "premium" figures.

 

The eyes are an easy 5 second fix with a Gundam marker. The much larger issue (IMO) that they could’ve fixed is the Gurren Lagann wannabe on his nose.

 

I don't know if we are thinking about the same thing but the horn isn't accurate to anything.

 

Exactly, which is why it’d be something to fix. It’s really the only blemish on an otherwise flawless figure.

 

They seem to be virtually identical other than a few minor changes and QC details?

 

And it is brighter because of the quality of the plastic.

 

I think they said that the KO is a darker shade of brown (plastic has more shine and looks cheaper), the box is apparently faded a bit on the KO. Spark accessory is a lighter shade though.

I may get one to keep in Beast mode, but I hate the KOs that use boxes similar to the authentic. At least if people pay attention to the "C2824" written on the box, they should avoid getting duped.

 

I have a hunch this will drop in price as AliExpress sellers are already below showz at many places (inc shipping)

 

I don't understand why companies continue to use light piping. A simple dab of reflective paint seems easier than molding a separate piece that then needs to be assembled onto the figure.
