I agree! Though, I definitely would have gone for the prototype darker teal over that sickly tarnish green any day.

I am anxiously awaiting Greenlight. I have Elita-1, Moonracer, and Novastar but haven’t opened them yet. So I have no experience in handling the toys. I am a smidge disappointed that the limbs are the same, but at the same time I’m happy.

    Confusing I know...

Some people are not a fan of this mould as an arm or leg, but I like the way the symetry of the combined form “unites” the team (in a way). So instead if color uniformity, it’s a uniform alt mode, and the leader takes the jet form.

What I am afraid of is that they will give us that “nerfed” Chromia and NOT Lancer. Knock on wood. But I find a bit of comfort in all the Lancer speculation.

hasbro has confirmed we will get a fourth character from the combiner version of the mold, so the "nerfed" chromia is coming, but isnt intended to go with this grouping

Well, we know we're getting Chromia, and she is based on the Moonracer design.

Also Lanceer is less speculation and more finding the clues. Entering the code "LANCER" on Transformers.com gives you Greenlight's bio and this image.

I'm intrigued that "Orthia's" line diagram seems to show the central car canopy sections folded out to the sides rather than kept behind the thighs in arm mode like Moonracer and Novastar's instructions show.

    THIS! Er... THAT!!!

That is what I was looking forward to! I was late in the game for the poll/vote but when I saw the prototypes, I felt OK with it, not overly impressed like the impact Devastator has, but OK.

Then disappointment. She is still a cool toy, and with the IF hunter Arcee, I can play the comic over and over.

Now, for a bit of conspiracy theory. Do you think Hasbro already had the componants to Victorion already picked out (with back stories and everything), and stuffed the ballots so to speak?

Secondly, do you think they took heed to the fans’ reservations on the loud teal and red, and muted it to mint green? Or was that their intent all along?

No need for foil hats, I’m just curious.

    Thank God!

Not that I would do it but, do you think her common mould pieces (head, body section?, etc.) could be transplanted to a Moonracer mould, and with a little paint make a Chromia? Or would the parts be too different because one is PotP and the other Seige?

I noticed that too, but did not think much of it, probably because that's how I'v been transforming them this whole time, It makes for slightly better arm articulation to just get them up and out of the way of the elbow.

No, because they don't shear any parts, just engineering.

IF, and that’s a big if, the connection point for those pieces are of similar size and there were no scaling changes of the cad model then there is a possibility, but I wouldn’t say it is likely

Thanks guys! That’s what I was wondering. Especially with all the kit-bashing and customizing going on. I saw in another thread, someone put a Combiner peg on a Fans Project Swindle to replace Hasbro’s Swindle.

Looking at the two side by side I think the best you could get is a head swap.

It really does make the arm mode better.

After reading looking back on this thread, I have to ask, what did Chromia do to get so much notoriety compared to her sisters?

Having a less generic/disputed name probably helped. Hasbro could secure it and use it more readily than her "sisters", which then led to her semi-regular appearance in the IDW comic, and it snowballed from there.

She dated Ironhide in G1. It's not always what you know but who you know.

But I think it has a lot to do with her being the color blue, which was seen as the most readily marketable by Hasbro.
