Takara sure likes clear yellow bees. This is not a full review as the figure is a re-deco. Shows pics and goes over differences. Granted, we don't have the other versions to compare with. Had someone in Japan pick this figure up for me. SS-EX Bumblebee Clear Yellow ver. is part of the 40th anniversary celebration and (so far) limited for purchase at the Transformers 40th Anniversary Expo. He is a redeco of Core Class Studio Series Dark of the Moon Bumblebee and Laserbeak. Unlike various Tokyo exclusive figures, BB was available at the Expo in other cities. This has also been available (with mark-ups) at various Japanese resale sites. As typical with these clear figures, the nylon-esque parts are still opaque while everything else is clear plastic. There are gray opaque parts and wheels. The wheels, however, don't feel like nylon. All other colors are painted on. The blaster is silver painted over clear yellow. After dealing with various clear figures, some of them may have rather tight joints. For this one, the knees seem rather tight, so be careful with those. The articulation overall is limited and uses a lot of ball joints. Bot Mode: Alt Mode: Overall: Difficult to justify importing for a figure like this alone, especially second-hand due to the exclusive nature. I've seen some of the bonkers scalper prices. If one has a burgeoning clear figure collection, though, this may be worth getting, especially if getting other figures at the same time. The knees feel a little scary.
