There was a crazy earthquake here in Los Angeles. Haven't felt one of these in a while. I was at the grocery store and I saw the hanging ceiling lights waving around the ground moving. Bunch of people freaked out and left the store. I was waiting to get some money back for being overcharged. The guy who was helping me took off and I was like wtf dude, I want my change! Anyways he came back. I live about 20 mins from the epicenter. Crazy stuff. Hope all my fellow Angelenos are ok! Sound off if you are!
I live closer to the epicenter and didn't feel crap since I was driving between 8:15 to 8:40 when I guess it happened. When I got to my apartment building everyone was standing outside and I was like "wtf why are you all outside?" Then i saw it on the news and was like "oh." My cat was pretty scared when I got home.
Scary. Geothermal power plants can help reduce the pressure build up that causes earthquakes but the initial drilling can cause them too so what to do
Man, I can't even imagine. One good thing about New Mexico I guess, only natural disasters we have really are fires. Hope you're all ok!
I know what you mean I live in Minnesota and the only earthquake here in living memory was easily mistaken for a big truck driving down the road lol, Im at more of a risk of Tornadoes and Blizzards than earthquakes here
I'm in Utah and I guess were sitting on a landmine just waiting to blow, (link) and give off an amazing earthquake.. Its kinda scary but its natural and it happens... As long as I'm close to my family when it happens, I dont care
Felt it while I was at work and it looked like I was the only one who felt it. Saw the lamps hang above swaying. Got home only to see that my Animated Blitzwing was toppled over.
Watching King of the hill in my bed, The windows were rattling to a rhythm, it felt like I was in a bunker getting shelled by one artillery gun. Then all of the sudden. Bam Bam. It sounded and felt like two artillery gun spontaneously firing and hitting me, I then got up and ran for the door sill. A box fell, my bag of chips fell. My cat freaked out. But Surprisingly, DVDs that was hanging off the edge of my TV did fall, the Lazer Liger Zoid on top of a shelf didn't fall, and get this Ultimate Bumblebee didn't fall either.
They happen whenever they damn well please! The joys of living in Cali *sigh*, I remember those days.
