All I can say is the AOE Dinobots has grown on me and I like them a lot. At first, I thought they were a piece of trash when I saw their first pictures, but after I bought Scorn and had him in hand, I was hooked. Now I have Scorn, Strafe, Slug and Slash in hand and all are unique in their own way. But I really, really hate the soft rubber weapons, Scorn’s weapons aren’t bad, yes he has the lance as part of his arm and the short sword, which needs paint for better detailing. Slug, good bot mode and good dino mode, but I hate the rubber weapons he has and how there stored. I think if Hasbro made them a black or silver hard plastic it would be better for this figure. Strafe, no really issues with him or his weapons, it seems Hasbro made him pretty cool in every way. Slash, cool dino mode, bot mode is just OK, but again I hate the rubber axes he or she comes with. Hasbro definitely could have come up with a better way to make these weapons out of better material beside the soft rubber compound. And before anyone rips this topic apart, I understand these toys are mean’t for children and abide by the child toy safety law that is out there, but some of us are collectors and would like to have better weapons for collection.

Now, I would like to see Dr. Wu or another 3rd party company made some better hard plastic replacement weapons the AOE Dinbots, especially for Slash, Scorn and Slug. Scorn really just needs a better weapon or nice spiked shield since he has the lance. For Slug better swords, or mix it up with swords, axes and maces. Slash, just better weapons than what he has, the axes are OK, but damn it, these guy need better weapons. Has anyone heard of 3rd party companies making anything for the AOE Dinobots??

 

Well i know Grimlock deserves a better weapon but I'm not sure if the others need some new eapons since they do look fine as they are.

 

You should try to drop a line to Dr.Killinger who is in the process of making some badass shotguns based on FP Colossus' weapons. He already has ideas for upcoming projects, but it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Of course there are tons of other weapon designers on the boards to try and pitch the idea to, he's just the first one I thought of.

 

I'm using one of the swords that came with the Platinum Edition Predaking with AOE voyager Grimlock.

By that same token, maybe look into the weapon sets that Dr. Killinger from this board is gonna do.

 

I don't want weapons, I want MP-ish AOE Dinobots! Huge, spiky and with die-cast!

 

There's an awesome sword for Grimmy on Shapeways that I spotted earlier.

I'm still waiting to see G1 Dinobot weapons made larger with 5mm handles.

 

I don't want weapons for these guys. I want better arms and hands for a select few. Strafe and Slash specifically.

Aside From Grimmy, I feel like everyone else has good weapons.

 

I'm sure folks will Shapeways a set of G1 Dinobot weapons for the upcoming Comic Con G1-deco Dinobot set.

 

Don't forget G1 type heads, too.
