Whoa! This is gonna be an epic set. Where is that gif of Stan's dad jizz-ploding on the screen when a fella needs it? LOL

anyone else think they look to have a design style similar to the r.i.d. build team?

    Greatness!
They appear to replicate G1 transformation though, so they might not be very complex.
And they both have serious kibble issues, but I honestly don't care, waaaaaant!

Honestly, these things just look ugly to me. I mean for those who do like them, good for you. More power and what not...But really not doing anything for me.

Because the majority of Hasbro's income doesn't come from the fans, but the kids (and their parents) that the toys are made for.

That kind of business model is absolute fail for that target demographic.

These are just amazing, working construction vehicle constructicons, that's quite an achievement.
As for colours, I think the tones on not Hook are better looking.

Hmm. I'm not too impressed. Now that the "WOW CONSTRUCTICONS!!!" in me has had its moment, they're just a bit.....well I'm comparing them to the Fansproject stuff and just think they come up short. Overly clunky, very RiD so they're lacking a certain unique look that things like Fansproject and Perfect effect have with their toys. The back kibble is horrendous and understandable but they could've tried some sort of integrated weaponry or something. Or even just detaching them. As it stands, I'm not really interested and will need to see more of them before making a final judgement. If NOT-Mixmaster appears and he has this giant barrel on his back, then it won't bode well for the set overall.

Yes this set is pretty much just for the combined mode, which from what we saw of just the NOT-Scavenger arm could be awesome as is seems they're trying to use as much of the robot parts in combined mode rather than extra bits, BUT, that doesn't mean they should skimp out on the individual bot-modes.

As it is these are very I guess Energon like and just lack a certain aesthetic.

They don't quite seem as BIG as anticipated... they look like rather firm Deluxes, rather than small Voyagers, which was one of the hypotheses. Still pretty great-looking overall. In terms of the engineering, there is a sort of AEC Trilogy vibe, but that's fine with me.

    Can't wait for the others!

my thoughts exactly, shame they look as though they have 3 legs...

Sort of agree here too. I was expecting a little more. Was more impressed when we didn't have any size estimates and they were in all gray. The paint apps look minimal, and some of the designs/limbs look pretty plain.

I am feeling the Energon vibe too, which I was never a fan of. These sort of feel like working gestalt limbs with robot limbs jammed onto an existing design. I think if FP were to embark on this same scale of project, I'd be a lot more impressed and excited.

    Hmm. I don't like em. :(

Tripod backpacks and weird legs. Odd colours, though that could just be prototype problems.

Don't like em enough to spend whatever they're gonna cost on em. If they were Hasrbo products at hasbro prices, sure, but in this case I don't see enough to make me want em.

I might change my mind when I see the combined mode, but I don't really like Devastator either, so I dunno.

Looks awesome -and by the size of Armada Scavenger in the picture kinda big, too.

But I imagine I'll never be able to afford them. :(
