I love repaints.... As long as they can be treated as different characters that is! Sure I've gotten a few black or SG repaints over the years but mostly as long as theres a G1 original mentality behind it I can get onboard.

3rd party companies a lot like Hasbro/Takara can obviously see the gain in Planning repaints of figs as it increases the amount of units that can be sold from one set of molds.... Whether its a flat redeco or a partial retool it's still got a quicker turnaround than a full new design as we've seen from most established companies so far.

But what's yet to get some of the more logical repaints?

Big ones for me are;

Orange g2 Dev and Diaclone dev....either maketoys or TFC for these would be fine..... Depending on price and "exclusivity" of course.

Toyworld Hegemon as black megatron, or even goodbye blue megatron.

Fansproject Diaclone insecticons!

Igear green Rescue(ratchet) and black Castiron(ironhide)

Igear miniwarriors... This lines barely started really but I wanna see them put out repaints for the estrala releases, fiction only characters... Everything!

TFC Aerialbots into G2 Superion

FP Assaulter into Tidal Wave

I'd love to see the FP not-Menasor repainted into the 5 Autobot who faked Menasor in one episode - Mirage, Windcharger, Jazz, Sideswipe and Optimus Prime? Then you can make an Autobot car combiner from them.

 

Assaulter in Tidal Wave colors is definitely my #1 want.

STILL want that red repaint of Warbot Defender too... but only if they fix his feet so he can stand.

ANY repaint of Steelcore would be welcome.

Not interested in Uranos... but I'd strongly consider a SG version of him.
