I broke a hinge joint on 3 out of four of my last 3rd party figures. The hinge for the wheel well on UT Challenger, the hinge for one of K.O MPM Megatron's wing tips and the hinge for Freedom Leader's ass. If they were just removable hinges instead of pins joints they'd just pop off instead of breaking.

And I don't mean all hinge joints. Just the really small ones.

I thought that too several times. I think the 3P makers have investments in the superglue industry.

Go the way of Lego. They use two different types of ratchet joint, neither use metal.

Some of the good ones do. My recent dx9 and mmc purchases have both used this technique.

Never understood the usage of pins myself. Good old screws are more trustworthy. Make disassembly and repairs/customs way easier.

The pins that TFC use on their bots are very well made and coated in some sort of black paint that makes them stay in place very well.
