I recently received FP's Armored Batallion, ToyWorld's Grind Rod and Reprolabels for PE Scouting Force. While I was fiddling with all of them I wondered if they were stamped like Has/Tak toys with a logo or date. I haven't found anything on any of them! I would think they would do something to help identify original from k.o.'s or at least just to have their name on it after the boxes and instructions are tossed. Anyone else find that odd?
CHMS has been known to stamp the inside of their seeker recolor legs sometimes. The seeker's lef thag has the copied Copyright 2006 Hasbro/Takara stamp, made in China, , while the right says "CHMS".
i dont find it odd, the manufacturer stamps are there for copyright and trademark what-have-you and arent ever part of the design of the toy. if youre a company designing figures that greatly resemble another companies IP youre probably not going to claim it as your own, hence leaving off the stamp. also, theyre just ugly from a design standpoint and are left off for aesthetics as well i assume.
There is no reason not to mark an original design for copyright reasons. Many third party companies mark the box, not the toy.
