No, but if I'm recalling correctly the designers of both were once employed by DX9. There was a thread a year or more ago that had the details, as well as notes on the design styles of the designers (which you could pick in products from all three companies).

 

Yeah and it needs to be MFT who should do it.

I just watched a review vid of NA Bumblebee and they pointed out DX9 dutch is on the box. Do DX9 still make war in pocket?

I'm coming back to legends after a couple of years away. It's looking really good, though so many new companies! There's a lot of Iron factory I really like but tough to track down.

 

I have no idea what DX9 do now. They haven't released anything in legends for something going on 3 years now. In masterpiece they're in the middle of doing the Stunticons, but who knows if they'll finish them. It may well be that the designers now working for MST & NA were all the designers they had.

If you don't grab them when fresh, don't bother. Just forget old IF stuff. Unless you enjoy paying titan prices (and more...) for legends toys...

 

If you wanna play a long game (but cheap), you can go for a mixed collection. NewAge mini-bots fits perfect with MFT figures BUT the MFT are Legend+ sized, bigger than usual. If you don't mind your wallet, the best figures now are NewAge and MagicSquare, you can mix them perfectly. Just choose the best you like it.

I used to have decent IF collection but sold them cos the I was waiting too long for new releases. Pure Folly, shouldve known I'd come crawliing back to legends

TBH Mix and Match is ideal for me. My favourite OP is DX9, love the headsculpt and the proportions. But New Age Bumblebee is definitely the way forward. I also really like the MFT Omega Supreme. I do really like Iron Factory Jazz and Sideswipe, but I can't find them at decent prices.

 

If you're favorite is Dutch then you'll be limited to Newage as every other company will be too big

 

Are Dutch and iron factory different heights?

The if carbots are generally my favourites so can get that op if it's better

(also I'm an SG fan so both still available at regular price so no worries in that regard)

 

you just have to shop around and be on the hunt. someone here got a super insane steal of a deal just a day ago on fleabay. i mean that price was fucking insane. you just have to be ready to pounce at any moment.
