DaimChoc Reports - ダイムチョック・リポーツ
Magic Square is back to legends programming
man i just forgot that that was Magic Square. i thought it was Newage!
So should I wait for the MS Seekers or bite the bullet and go for the DX9 Seekers (most likely by the Pocket Toys ones)...
Or even get them as a stop gap..??
If money is no object and you simply MUST have a set of Seekers NOW, then get the DX9/PT Seekers as a potential stopgap.
But speaking as a frugal sort of fellow, I would advise simply waiting until MST show their Seekers in full. If you don't like them, there will still be DX9/PT Seekers floating around, especially as I'm sure at least some folks will be looking to offload theirs for the new MST version.
Cheers mate .
I'm rather frugal myself, but then again £30 for the PT/DX9 seekers that I've seen isn't too much and I think once the MS come out of probably be able to offload the PT/DX9 to offset some of the cost...
Or, and keep in mind i'm OCD as heck, get two sets of DX-9/PT, two sets of MFT, and most likely two sets of MST. And then sit back and wonder WTF.
How does MS Optimus compare to a DX9 Seeker?
He’s about a cm taller.
Get the rainmaker seekers, as it’s unlikely other companies will make them in that scale, and if you decide to go with the the ms release, they won’t be duplicates and you could attribute the differences in size/transformation to their cybertronian ties that weren’t broken.
I've got both sets, and I love them. They're really fun figures and so G1 accurate. But I just switched ALL my seekers over to IF, so I am not sure I have a place for them. If you're interested, I would be willing to let mine go. I need to think about it but I am pretty sure I could be convinced.
The Rainmakers aren't DX9, they're MFT. As such, they don't scale with any of the other seekers. They're just a little tall
Well then, sounds like your decision is nearly made! If £30 is not a big deal either way, you may as well get those DX9/PT Seekers. They're fantastic figures IMO. I doubt you'll be disappointed.
But speaking as a notorious tight wad -- 'frugal' was probably putting it a little too generously -- I'd rather use that £30 toward something there's little chance I'll be replacing before too long. Also, I'd wager that once the MST Seekers are out the market for DX9/PT Seekers will be better for buyers than sellers. Just something to consider.
To be fair mate I was born in Yorkshire - so I have short arms and deep pockets generally... but I seem to be lacking the usual self control when it comes to Legends Transformers at the minute!!
I totally get what you mean about rather putting that cash towards something you're more likely to keep... maybe I can justify it by saying I'd keep the DX9/PT for the jet modes!!
Thanks again for the advice though - much appreciated!
The lies we tell ourself to justify our addiction.
he is going to be larger than a cm taller than the seekers. if i had to guess based on these pics i would say their heads will come up to around the bottom of his chest windows. maybe a hair taller. but that is it.
also this is for anyone looking for seekers. if i was looking for seekers i would definitely wait. even if the MS seeker don't end up being your flavor when they drop. there will still be tons of great deals to be had when the people who upgraded start to unload their other seekers.
With Megatron coming out for Newage I think Newage might bring out seekers next year or even this year if the rumors about the 13 extra figures this year is real and they are not Autobots. Not in a hurry, I'll wait, the pasing of Newage is quit doable.
The only MST figures I want are the Stunticons. Don't mind if they come out at the end of the year but I want colored pictures of all the bots, the alt modes and the combined form.
Ok. Then get the MFT seekers. Problem solved.
Quick one - is that MFT Megatron or DX9 out of interest?
that is DX9 mightron in those pics.
Thanks bud - is he much smaller than MFT do you know? Looks quite similar to me.
He's smaller, yes.
