Hey everyone just wanted to talk about the possibility of 3rd Party companies making Duocons and if you would buy them or not? I wouldn't mind having a big Flywheels. I always liked that little part he got in the Season 4 intro.
Are you shire that wasn't flywheel? I mean it does give him in maroon witch lets me believe battle trap
Honestly? If there was a new Duocon I would want it to be heavily sprung loaded and 'One Steppy', like the original toys were. And no 3P company could resist over engineering and moving away from that kinda thing.
I certainly want updated versions of the Duocons that retain the original gimmick. If the individual toys would transform into robots themselves that would tie in nicely with my fanfic. And i dont really care if they would be official or 3P, but your thread is in the wrong forum i'm affraid.
I would happily sacrifice the spring loaded gimmick for beefier, more articulated limbs. I would actually be ok if Hasbro did these in the TR line with two titan masters; one as a head and the other for the weapon (and each titan master being able to pilot a vehicle.
Why the hell does it have to be 3P? HasTak has been making awesome updates of characters that many thought we'd never see, so Duocons shouldn't be counted out.
I'd love to see modern Duocons; although I'm not particularly wedded to the gimmick, traditional triple changers would be fine for me - as long as the robot mode reflected the look of the G1 toys.
If they kept the separate vehicles gimmick and made them at least Deluxe sized or up to MP size, I wouldn't care who made them. They'd be insta-bought, every version, official and 3rd party. I'd figuratively kill for MP class Duocons! Shitty nonexistent articulation aside, I fucking love my Duocons! I love Combiners and the Duocons always felt like a splinter group, kinda like the Cassette Combiners but without personality merging. I just need a replacement helicopter for my poor old Battletrap and then I can proudly display them with my Jumpstarters and Battlechargers.
I'd love some updated duocons. I like Botcon Battletrap a lot and it was criminal they didn't do a Flywheels too. Triple changers work ok for them but I'd really dig it if they would update them with the original splitting vehicle mode gimmick. Obviously they're not opposed to that since they're releasing Overlord and Black Shadow with it so I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Or make official Duocons that aren't ridiculously-overpriced for their size. Jeez, why does 3p have to be so expensive?
I'd rather see Hasbro modify Blitzwing to use a Titan Master port and use the Flywheels Titan Master.
Triplechangers would be ok i guess. But i much prefer them to be two vehicles or two transforming robots that combine into a preferably deluxe or voyager robot.
