    There was that company that said they were doing the constucticons but haven't heard anything about that in a year or so.

    @Markatron Was it Mech iDeas Bluster and Trench?

    @Prime's Pappa The other poster's referring to this one: Aplus Toys not-Animated Dirt Boss

    Unfortunately, not many 3rd parties are pushing Animated. Sad that we never got to see Xovergen's or whatevs fire truck trailer for TFA Optimus.

    Ah, Animated. You were so good, and had the series continued, I'd definitely would have been bankrupt. Rest well, you magnificent series.

    Xovergen has never produced anything good though. Their plastic quality and their price for what you get is a huge insult to customers.

    Bluster and Trench showed that there's no money in Animated 3P figures. Sure, they should have started with something people really wanted before background characters, but it is what it is.

    I know the colour guy from MMC (Lazysomething) mentioned they were planning some figures from one of the later Transformers continuities? May have been Animated, may have been Prime, may have been something else... I honestly wouldn't have a clue since nothing after Beast Wars/Machines has held my attention for more than about half an episode. I noted it in passing as a "meh, whatever, just keep doing IDW" kind of thing. Maybe check his posts in the MMC threads? Sorry this is a really vague post but it's the best i can do ... its late here

    @LazyAza ?

    Now that you mention it, I think I linked the repaint and not the OG. Thanks for the realization, should be an orange and blue pair. These figures have been released officially in the Mario brothers color scheme though

    I'll say this on Animated's popularity though. As I've found, for every 5 people who like the series, there are another 5 that hate it. I don't think that's a risk 3P companies are willing to take nowadays

    I think you might be referring to Lazy's recent post about MMC doing Unicron Trilogy (Armada, Energon, Cybertron) figures in the near future.

    I'd say plenty of future mmc releases could make specific nods to Animated versions of characters but I wouldn't bet on seeing the Animated toy aesthetic specifically ever being used again, by anyone in the 3p scene. Just don't see a market big enough to justify it honestly.

    I'd say it showed there's little money in 3P figures of barely seen on screen animated characters. Animated Constructicons would do much much better. But right now the money is in 3P MP scaled figures, so that's what we're getting.

    Ahh. Yep that's probably it. Like I said, can't really handle any of the modern continuities except IDW. My bad. Feel free to ignore my post ... unless you like those other shows I guess. I'll shut up now:oops:
