Would you be interested if anyone out in 3P land made a bigger, better trailer for Earthrise Prime?

What would you want it to include?

Are there alternatives out there right now?

 

I'm happy with the stock trailer, but if I wanted more I'd honestly just want a conversion piece for the Fansproject G3 trailer. It's still pretty much the undefeated Prime trailer imo.

 

There is an upgrade kit I believe.

Hmm... I don't know. I guess it depends on how good the trailer is? I mean, I already bought the Nonnef kit for the door, the consoles that go inside the trailer, the trailer bumper, the piece that moves the connection between the cab and trailer forward a bit, and the fuel can/hose. Then I bought the ZXB kits for Roller, the launcher for Roller, the missiles for the drone, the the filler for the drone, the antenna for the drone, the fenders, and the support parts. Then I painted the trailer and the drone. Then I put Reprolabels on it. So now I'm at a point where it looks fantastic, it's just a little undersized. If I'm going to toss all the money and work I put into that then a totally new trailer would have to be better than my heavily-modded one.

 

I primarily want a better earth mode Optimus, really.
I thought it was great Hasbro did this at first, but after watching reviews I don't understand why it needed that kind of transformation that leaves it with buttwheels and whatnot when they could have based the transformation on MP-10 and end up with a clean figure.

Not crazy about the WFC Megatron mold either.
But I'm sure we'll see a commander class earth mode Optimus soon enough with a better base figure and a better trailer.

 

This one really. I did the same for the studio series prime, they are almost the same size.

I was lucky to snag one, they seem to be running dry of stock quickly. Wish someone would release this into nemesis colours though.

First of all let me say that it looks great.

As a fan project, I am all for it, but its counter intuitive and not cost effective. I dont know the costs involved with the upgrade kits but I suppose overall it would double the cost of the trailer right (assuming we can call half the cost of the package been because of the trailer vs siege prime)?

Plus it doesnt really fix the major issue: Size, that box really is the wrong size by default.

Again sorry if it feels I am shooting down your work (which I dont, I honestly like very much what I see), but had there been a decent option readily available, outside the fun factor of DYI, I dont see the point.  

 

Is the KBB MP10V trailer any bigger than the Earthrise one? Can it fit Earthrise vehicles very well?

 

It almost double the size and yes.

Fits ER Bluestreak effortlessly. Comes with Spike and Roller. Can’t wait to get my hand on Netflix ER OP to go together with this wonderful trailer. Hope to come up with a solution to hitch them together.

 

I actually rigged-up a connector so the trailer attaches to his hitch, allowing a full 180 turning radius. The whole set-up rolls together perfectly:

Basically, I used a small machine screw to attach a narrow LEGO tile (yellow arrow) to the underside of the KBB trailer, in front of the trailer’s swivel hitch. Then I attached a ~4 mm peg to the other end of the tile. The peg is long enough to keep the trailer perfectly level, and it’s loose enough to allow total freedom of movement. I arranged the swivel hitch fins parallel to OP’s legs, so the swivel hitch is not in the way and not actually involved in the connection. The whole thing was easy, and the result is nice and sturdy.

 

MP10v and BTS-01 trailers work with some light modding.

 

You're not wrong, the trailer is the wrong size and by now I've probably spent more on upgrades (especially when you add in the cost of a Matrix Workshop rifle and the Go Better back for Prime) than I did on the figure. But what I'm saying is twofold- one, that I already put that time, money, and effort into fixing many of the trailer's other flaws, and two, that a 3P trailer that addressed the size but failed to address the issues that I did on the original would (for me) be more of a downgrade at this point. So I'm not saying that a 3P replacement trailer is a bad idea or that I don't want one made, I'm saying that if one is made that I personally need it to be better than not just the default original but better than my customized one.

 

Agreed 100%. To be honest, where I in your shoes I wouldnt replace it either way.

 

Netflix OP arrived to pair up MP10-V trailer. Used a pieces of Lego blocks to fix up the hitch.

I got a very simple mod, no cutting, maybe a little nail polish, or super glue if want permitted. I saw that the bts-01 trailer has a slightly big 5mm port on the trailer hitch. I had spare 5mm shelf pins, which you can get at any hardware store. So far I found this to work. All wheels touch the ground and roll. The trailer works on earthrise/siege Prime molds, and even on perfect effect PE-DX11B Dark Warrior figure. Gonna purchase another one, the bts 01clear cryotype version to go with my siege Optimus. Looking forward to display with generations selects shattered glass Optimus as his trailer.

 

I gotta fish my G1 trailer out... does anybody know how well that works with Earthrise OP?

 

The trailer itself is larger than the earthrise one, however their alt modes are not that different in size so it should be a match.
