UPDATE:

So back on 16 December 2020, I commented about how the thumbs on my MP Ironhide and Tracks were splitting, and about to fall off.

So, I ended up purchasing some KFC articulated hands for each. In my opinion... it was money well spent. And it was either that, or I could just watch as my Tracks and Ironhide become "thumbless", and that seemed like no fun!

So... since these are KFC hands, l figured l'd let KFC Transistor talk to Ironhide and Tracks about their new hands.


"So Tracks, what are your thoughts on your new, articulated hands?"

"Well Transistor, I think they're pretty fabulous!!"

"And why is that?"

"Well... now I can maneuver each finger separately!! That simple feat was impossible before!"

"I mean... just look at what I can do with my hands now!!"

"There are so many things I can do with my fingers and hands now... the possibilities are endless!!"

"And thankfully... I can still grip my weapon!"

"Do you feel lucky... Punk!?"

"What a wonderful story of self improvement!! How about you Ironhide? What are your thoughts on your new hands?"

"Ah'm glad ya asked Transistor!!"

"Prior to mah upgrade, I could'a never separated each of mah fingers. But now... Now I can yell..."

"...STOP!! ...and I can hold my hand out like this to be all authoritative and stuff!!"

"Ah never thought us outdated Autobots would ever be able to have independently moving fingers like you 3P folks!!"

"Too bad ah missed out on the Shadowfisher upgrade to my hip-skirts and caboose!!"

"But at least we can point now!!"

"Thats right Tracks... Ah just love pointin' mah finger at stuff!!"

nice, i bought those for my masterpiece sound wave. but the original hands screws stripped so i can’t remove them.

I am sorry to hear about that!!

That is one of my biggest fears anytime I am engaging in Transformer surgery!!

Even using the tiny Japanese Standard screw drivers that KFC and XTB include with their figures... it still can be risky and I've had a few close calls!!

My favourite screw driver is the Japanese Standard screw driver that came with my Shadowfisher MP-10 head/matrix!!



For some reason, the Shadowfisher screw driver feels like it more securely grabs the screw than any other JS screw driver I own.

I have a one-armed KO Soundwave that came with spindilly articulated fingers. I purchased it from Best Grey's Amazon Store many moons ago. But from time-to-time, I still hear of people acquiring these KO Soundwaves.

Might be an option...

 

the one that came with the KFC hands stripped it.   it similar to the one in the pic.

I tried and it didn't catch. might try the super glue method next.

where finesse didn’t work, brute force did. since i’m never selling him and the forefinger kept falling off since day 1. I just pried the old hands off and replaced them with the new ones.

But beware of those fingers... once they pop off, they're impossible to find!!

That's the ONE MAJOR THING that i hate about KFC/XTB fingers!! My Andras almost lost a pink finger tip the other day!

Ah well, I guess I knew what I was getting myself into...

 

Thanks to @JBrock for the left overs of his part swap. I have the premium alt mod and thanks to him including his leftover stickers I was able to obtain a toy accurateish bot mode.

 

........You have a thing for hands and arms dont you..........?

Still wish there was a way to get those KO soundwave hands. I prefer them but I don’t want to pay 50-70 bucks just for hands and a throwaway soundwave who may or may not have the hands.

If anyone by any chance doesn’t want those hands...... contact me, plz.
