I was wondering if anybody knows where we keep some sort of index or tabulation of ever third party figure or upgrade. I just want to peruse it to my arts content because DiaBrave Sid can’t be the only source I have of learning about third party contributions.
We have a section here on tfw under “Toys”, but it is woefully incomplete. We don’t have enough dedicated people updating it as we do with official toys
I keep seeing it in the 3P Forum and thinking about doing an updated one, but finding the time for such a large project is an issue. Last updated 2016. 3rd Party Company Index
That's way too much work to research and constantly update. Not sure anyone is up for such as a 'labour of love'.
The initial setup is troublesome, but updating it isn't that bad. You can sort the forum by thread start date so doing that once a month or so it is easy to grab new threads by going from there back to where you last updated. The only time there are a significant number of products is right after a convention, other than that they trickle in.
I wasn't going to say anything yet but I was going to make an entire wiki for it. Haven't had the time to really do anything yet, but I figured something needs to be done because the sheer amount is out of control and we have no way to keep track of this stuff easily any more. I basically want to make the TFWiki for third-party but with less shitty "jokes" and opinions. Just facts, but also report on QC issues and such too (preferably with statistics to keep it as unbiased as possible). If I decide to still go ahead once I've finished some work for clients, I'll post a separate thread because I'll need some help, obviously... Problem is I'm a perfectionist, so I've got high standards for everything that goes on there. I'll also have to pay for the domain name out of pocket, at least to start... Had to go with a wiki host (not Fandom) though because running my own VPS for such a site would be way too expensive to pay out of pocket... That thread linked above will definitely help, but it's far from a complete list.
