It's amazing how a little plastic goes a long way, what with how significantly those filler pieces improve Jetfire. If/when I get one, I'm certainly popping you an order.

Though on the same subject, maybe you could look into adding an upgrade to the old Jetfire Voyager model for your offerings? One of the key flaws of that mold is that the feet are little more than the slightly pulled apart jet engine nozzles, which in of themselves are hollow shells so they do an absolutely horrendous job of keeping the figure up if the center of balance is shifted even slightly off center (such as sticking the giant booster rocket/cannons accessory on his back and not keeping the cannons deployed over the shoulders). I'm not sure how you could pull it off without partsforming, but even with that concession, the feet parts might be able to then slightly change shape to become covers for the figure's hands in alt. mode which normally don't have any kind of means to not be obviously robot hands beyond simply sticking the gun halves in, which doesn't really do much when looking at the jet from any angle other than head-on.

I doubt it, unless they are the exact same width in gun mode.

Just an update to everyone that currently has an open order - I have SO many orders right now (thank you BTW) that I'm finding it hard to keep them all going out at a steady pace. I've got the printer running at every opportunity, but I'm seriously inundated at the moment and free time has been short lately.

This applies mostly to people who ordered Metroplex parts - smaller orders are going out a fairly normal pace, but Metro parts really slow down the system and I've got a lot of orders for them.

I will get everyone's order out, no worries there, it just may take a few days more than I quoted you. Please bear with me, I haven't forgotten anyone.

Finally got Takara Jetfire, Ive just suited him up in this upgrade, thought I'd add a few photos so people can see how it matches up.

Here he is "naked" so to speak.

    and all gunned up.

All in all a great set, and much better finish than anything I've ever bought of Shapeways.

Thanks man, I'm glad you approve, I did it mainly to match the red on the legs (where the guns go) but also to make it a "Takara Version" in contrast to the Hasbro one.

Gotta say you've knocked this set out of the park, finishes off the figure perfectly.

BTW, feel free to use any of my photos for your website if you want to show how the set looks with the Takara version.

I hate to do it but I had to raise the price on the Metroplex hands to $40, they are by far the most time consuming thing I make and the multiple joints they have make them more prone to print failure than anything else. Print failures = wasted time and material. I've been spending way too much time making multiple sets lately, so I have to curb the ordering on them and/or make them worth the effort.

If you have already paid for a set you're good, this only goes towards future orders.

The Brainstorm briefcase has been modified and price lowered - it will no longer open. The microscopic hinge was too hard to print reliably and was prone to failure.

The new model will look the same as the old, it just won't open. Hopefully that won't be an issue for most.

Have you put any thought into making an adapter piece to allow you to peg Classic Jetfire's booster pack to the Leader?

It's almost as long as the normal one and I prefer the blocky, non-ridged look with the boosters.
