Hey guys, here's the test print for Truck Machine!

My friend suggested testing an up-scaled version, it's 9 inches from the tip of the smokestacks to the feet.

I still have to adjust a few parts though, mostly unexpected geometry conflicts.

Looks quite good actually~ You planning to sell it in an up-scaled form?

A neat idea could be that if you DO release this thing, you could actually appeal to people who want a Huge Optimus, and people who want a Classics Sized Optimus. Possibly make an alternate version that would be about...6 - 6 1/2 inches in height from head to toe.

You don't gotta though. Merely a thought.

The torso is a bit too long and the legs a bit too short, IMO, but other than that I really like the proportions of this figure. Good work!

    Yay, he is finished.

Funny thing is he has the colors of my country's flag, so for me he's patriot prime. :D

Hoping to see him in pocket sized goodness.

If you don't mind me asking, how much does a figure of that size cost?

Thanks! I'm not sure yet, the cost at this size was around $150-200. Although I considered producing it at 6-7 inches, it scales up pretty well for G1 & classics - I'll just have to adjust for the 5mm pegs. I'll find out when the print for the 6 inch one is finished.

Thanks! Wait 'til we get the trailer printed!

Thanks! The printing experience was both exciting & frustrating! :lol

Thanks! The trailer would probably put it over the top.

    Yes, indeed. :lol

The torso's still missing the belt parts, they balance the torso a bit. Thanks!

Almost finished, we still have the trailer to print.
Funny coincidence! We only had these colors available, and they also matched my school's colors and the group's logo.
Based on the test print, I still have a few things to adjust before it's ready to print in micro scale.

A gift from the machine god? :lol  I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks!

    Thanks!

We printed this on a Up! machine. Hopefully, if it works here, it'll work anywhere.

The estimate was around $150-200. I think it would be more practical if we stick to the original 3 inches & maybe 6 inches.

Hoo man! If you DO print this guy at up to 6-7 inches, I wouldn't mind paying that~

    Update:

    Here's the complete* print.
There are still a few things that need adjusting, we experienced amazing amounts of shrinkage/expansion in several parts. But overall, I think it's pretty successful. :)

How come your Optimus Prime doesn't have GIANT FEET hanging off the rear of the vehicle mode like EVERY other cab over Optimus Prime that has ever been made?

    Wonderful job there.

You see, the answer is... I... um... er... NEXT QUESTION! :lol

It took a little over 14 moths to figure it out, I didn't realize it was significant until you pointed it out. I was just happy with the back end not being chunky.
It's a tradeoff though, the feet fold in flush to the back end of the cab, but it leaves a gap in robot mode.

    And thanks!
