I really like the design. After seeing the new options from other companies i decided to yes these two as my main representation of these character in this scale as i do not like fake parts. The only thing I was not a fan of where the faces so I design new ones based on the cartoon images.
Printed in ABS at 0.1 layer height. The eyes are separate in the model so you can use them for a multicolor print, as I did.
To install, you have to remove the screw and slightly separate the helmet parts (they can bend outward a little). Then, just remove the old face and slide in the new one. Ironhide went with no trouble, but I stripped the screw on Ratchet, so I had to use a drill to disassemble it. It may have been just my copy like that.

Hello guys. Quick question in 3d printing. If you got many parts you separate all the parts in one single .STL file? or export each parts in different .STL files then assemble it all in a slicer?

Not sure what you are asking exactly - most slicers have an option to separate multiple part STLs into single parts so you can pick and choose what parts to print. You can also arrange the plate with more than one STL file. It doesn't really matter if the parts are separate or in one big group.

Ok thanks! What slicers does this "separate multiple part STLs into single parts so you can pick and choose what parts to print"?
I'm relative new to this and don't have a 3d printer yet. I just want to make things.

I think I get what you mean.
If you are the one designing the parts in something like Blender or TinkerCAD that allows you to have multiple objects on one board, you can simply select the part, click export, and normally you can check a box that says "Export selected part only"
If you have an STL that has multiple parts in it; most slicers have a "separate" option hidden somewhere. May be right on the screen, may have to right-click. Google's your friend for finding that kind of stuff out! Alternatively, if you're on Windows, you should have a program called - or can download - 3D Builder. You can load your file into that, then see if you can click "ungroup" in the upper right toolbar

Ok I made something. Homage to Soundwave's Lamppost alt mode. Made some creative liberties on making it one. I figured this could be a diorama piece for display.

No, they're oversized. You should be able to scale them down though.

Been brainstorming ways to make siege springer more like/Better than the upcoming ss86 springer. Heres what i've come up with
    • Filler for rear wheel
    • Accessories from 86 version (Missile, Rocket, Gun, hammer, etc)
    • new Propeller
    • Intakes for alt modes
Someone already made replacement shoulders to allow them to tilt in bot mode
    Heavy/Scratch: - Nujevad's 3d printed upgrades

Heres a look at my filler piece
    Screenshot 2024-05-21 215944.png
Clearly still a wip. This part will cover the rear wheel in helicopter mode and a section of it will swing around to the back for car mode. This will also keep the robot mode knee locked in place. I hope I explained it well. I'll try to keep you all updated!

This is a great idea, and I'll be eager to see what you come up with!

But while you're popping Siege/WnR Springer apart and prototyping new bits for him to make him a better Springer, I hope you might also be open to ideas and inspiration on how to turn him into a G1 version of BBM Dropkick or Guido Guidi's Drift? No pressure, but then those leftover Springers can be repurposed into a new character who also needs an updated figure that Hasbro likely won't make.

I still need to do some tweaking, shorten the post on the thumb, and adjust the weapon port. I'm pretty sure this size will fit their cosmos, and the KFC reflector set. I'd also like to try printing on a smaller nozzle, see if it can get a little smoother. Pretty excited though, I'm over the typewriter style hands on my shelf.

Hmmmmm. I might be willing to do that. Idk what add ons I would make though other than new weapons and head. I'll come up with some ideas tonight.

Edit: Springer Head Ball joint is roughly 5.9mm in diameter
