Yeah I had access to Inventor after graduating college, but it just felt like it was always fighting me. Since it sounds like you have experience in Inventor, you would likely pick up fusion360 really quickly. I've bounced off blender a frustrating amount of times.

My biggest gripe with fusion360 is how the free version limits the number of active projects to 10 and it doesn't let you construct assemblies. But it's the best free software I've used and it was quick to pick up since I had used Soliworks in college and tried to teach myself Inventor after graduating.

Yeah I kinda agree like the actual models are really good but the printer is holding it back. But then again 3D printers are not cheap and the better ones are going to cost you an arm and leg for it so definitely tuning the current printer is the best course of action

Nah. I just don't give a shit about perfection. I do what I want, how I want.

    Scorpion Mode

I thought after a while of posting multiple projects on here, people would have understood already that I don't give a shit about making my copy of the prints perfect at this point.

There's a reason I like it when seeing others print my stuff

Well, last week I learned how to replace a clogged nozzle. Full disclosure: It's super easy, as far as it goes. This happened last night, however, and boy what a mess it was to clean out. For the record, it's a AnyCubic Kobra 2 Max, which I have had a great deal of success with in part thanks to @TigerBlade and the AnyCubic community.

    Just a minor clog, eh?

Cleaned out. I did allow it to cool, shut it down, and cleaned out a bunch of dust after I took this pic. Some just garage dust and pollen, some PLA dust.

But I have had a great time printing stuff - mostly non-Transformers lately, but with an eye to expand on my MP Teletraan soon. I find it really interesting how cameras tend to capture layer lines much more than the eye does; the Golden Claw honest to god looks super clean IRL, very little in the way of flaws. The Emerald Claw I used some weird gold silk 2 color PLA for the hand and it came out... interesting. Again though, the camera makes it look rougher than the eye would believe.

So today I did some new stuff:
Made a new head for my Banzai-Tron custom.
    20240501_130747~2.jpg 20240501_131004~2.jpg
And then remixed a head by @Chaos Convoy and @Moonminer to make my Tidal Wave

Does anyone happen to have a file for the pin that connects the ratchets in G1 Optimus Primes arm? It's a tiny little part and I either lost them when I was cleaning this thing up, or he never had them.
    Thanks!

Would anyone happen to know about replacement hips for Generation 1 Soundwave? I’ve had one for a few years, and have been trying on and off to patch it up. I looked through the spoiler tree, and there wasn’t anything like that.

The first page of this thread has an absolute wealth of info on where to download designs, for free or pay. Just have to navigate through a few layers of spoiler tags. As for selling, I would guess the usual places - here, but also eBay, OfferUp, etc. Just don't be the guy to download someone else's design to print for profit without passing some of that on to the designer, through Patreon or whatever.

Anyone here have the legends of Cybertron Optimus figure because I think I have an idea of how to do a super mode for him and I would like to help design it with someone.

Welp, Teletraan-I, MP scale, is complete. But this is just one part of what Funbie has available, so I'm printing out more parts now. Gonna try a new technique with UV resin and baby powder to smooth the lines next time. I used Photoshop to make "screens" and then printed them on label paper, which I cut to size and laminated. One day I dream of making live displays but for now this will do.

    20240505_145600.jpg

With MP-10 it looks undersized, but I don't want to make it any bigger at this point.

    20240505_145750.jpg

With FT Hunk it looks right-sized.
