The exact same failures in the same layers or did the placement change?

If that wasn't resin I would say it was an extruder issue - but resin printers don't work like that so it has to be either a model/slicer issue, something wrong with the material itself, or your projector is failing at that layer area for some reason.

AFAIK the only moving part on a resin printer is the Z axis so I would check that and make sure it isn't binding or catching on something.

Did you try printing something else that is about that size? That would be my first test. If something else prints fine, then it is almost certainly a model/slicer problem.

With any new custom from the ground up I like to build a block template to test transformation out and make sure the idea holds before spending ages trying to make it look like something. The idea is I can shortcut all of that next time I want to do something similar and work from a pre existing base. Anyway, fancied a small project for Halloween so created a battle master style gun transformation from seige. Works pretty well as a starting point to build off.

Done in blender. Just downloaded fusion but I'm trying to finish this guy before Halloween so don't have time to learn a new tool.

Your printer needs some major tuning up, that looks...melted, almost like it's made out of clay rather than printed. Did you sand it or cover it in something? What material is it? Seems like there are issues with bed adhesion too, bottom part looks warped.

Not really. Its already tuned up.
I just printed them at 100 speed because I'm bored and I want to see how it'll look fast.
It looks melted because I accidently used too much heat while cleaning it up
    Its PLA
Bottom is warped because i scraped it off like a pig. I want to do it fast. Again, not really a patient guy.

Made Draculus a little classic f(r)iend to give him some extra power. It's just ball joints and friction joints. I'd recommend stiffening joints anyway, like all PLA printed transforms really. I just nail polish. Wanted a small Halloween project.

    Anyway, Target Monster Frankenstein!

Files on cults if anyone wants him.

to me it looks like an orientation / supports issue. Can you screen capture how you've supported it in the slicer? Supports and orientation would account for both the seam and the filled ball socket if the model is good

Could be it. Unfortunately I can't go back to test print stuff anymore, I had things printed in my room and i ended up having skin irritation afterwards and problems breathing despite having prep work done before. I just don't have enough air circulation in my room.

Into the storage it'll go until I can find myself a bigger home. Hopefully.

thats a shame, out of curiosity which resin printer do you have? And what type of resin were you using?
I've been printing a couple of years now and still stuck to water washable resin only because of the potential safety issues (I'm clumsey and have a youngish cat) found REALLY huge differences in the brand as to how much fumes and toxicity there is even with water based.
Elegoo has been the worst brand for smell etc out of the resins I've tried which I didn't expect
Transparent coloured resin seems to be some of the most toxic of the water washable I've tried, but surprisingly the clear transparent I use for prototyping doesn't smell much - have the printer in a cupboard at work surface height in the kitchen with the wash and clean machine next to it. For cleanup etc I think a printer should be near to a sink to wash resin off your hands/skin etc of that happens (with soap and water asap)
Anyhow if you give it a go again happy to try and give tips to help with you getting clean prints off supported and with a result that works :)

Thanks. My printer's Longer Orange 30 and I'm using Molegrid water washable resin.
Unfortunately I can't relocate my machine because I'm living with my parents ever since the pandemic (after losing my teaching job and my living quarters)
I'm working as a graphic artist full time now (so I'm working from home to save living cost) and not to mentioned having 5 cats and help taking care of my nephews (all 3 of em) in the same house.
I thought I could handle a resin machine with how my room was setup, but things just didn't go my way, unfortunately.

Okay, so i decided to take a stab at this again (this time wearing proper clothing to lessen the effect of the resin and even putting the machine in a clear zipped airbag), and these 2 (Galvatron and Alpha Trion) came out great! But Hot Rod's still came out with an error. Would anyone like to try printing him on your resin machine? I tried putting him upside down just to test things out and the neck hole is still filled.

Other prints work fine, it's a file/slicer issue. Run the file through an online STL checker/fixer to see what errors it can find.

How does it print on a non-resin printer?

Post the file and also a screenshot of how you have supported it In the slicer, I suspect you need to run it through Autodesk Netfabb (feee) to close up non-manifold parts, hell even the built in 3d tool that comes with windows 10 can open, assess and fix a mesh with problems
