Just discovered this thread, glad to see there is one. So despite being fascinated with 3D printing, I have no true reason or time to invest in a printer atm. But it’d be so useful to print at my leisure to make add-ons for figures. Just today I thought how easy it could be to create leg extenders for the old deluxe bomber Megatron, similar to what that fourth party did for Gen Selects Super Megatron. But this is a whole new world in the TF community to me, completely ignorant about how y’all’s corner operates. Do people take commissions for ideas like that? How does that work?
Seconded, I've been trying to find out if anybody can make a good waist and knees for original Armada Megs.
Anyone from australia willing to print a jinbao bruticus upgrade kit. I have the files already. If so, how much for the project and auspost? Download STL file Jinbao Not Bruticus Upgrade Kit G1 Ver • 3D printable object ・ Cults
Download STL file Origins Bumblebee open hands • Template to 3D print ・ Cults Updated my Origins BB hands - now he can hold the 4mm rods and the 5mm gun equally well. Top 3/4 of hand is 5mm while the bottom 1/4 is 4mm. He can store two rods under vehicle mode in his hands.
I’m not very active in this area currently, but I think if you provide drawings/photos and measurements you could probably get someone to make it. You might also want to checkout Tinkercad.com and see if you could make them yourself. It is a very easy program to work with if you have some spare time
I heard of tinkercad a few times in college, one of my engineering professors recommended it. Seems simple enough, I just don’t know how I’d manage to have someone else perfect the tolerances on my behalf. Unless they also had the figure
Anybody here has seen an Animated Springer head they can reccomend? I would prefer one with the file available to print locally rather than shapeways or buying a print from the creator. I have an idea.
i have a potential dumb question about 3d printing transformers generally and the dx9 hulkie upgrade kit specifically. what % infill should I use? should the dx9 kit be 100% since they are working pieces? what do you all do?
It normally depends on the size of the piece, what it does, and how often you use it. If it's a large, mostly stationary armor piece, like a gap-filler for example, you can do a low % infill. 15% or so works well for me. If it's a small part that moves a lot or seems like it would need to be strong, then I'd do a higher infill. Assuming this is the file you're talking about: Download free STL file Upgrade Kit for DX9 Hulkie / Devastator • 3D printable object ・ Cults While I don't have the figure (so my reference of scale is likely off), I'd do 100% due to the size.
I wanted to share here the link to my Countdown Base. It took months to finish. It is not a copy of the original G1 one. The transformation is done by removing and reattaching the parts as going into the engineering of parts actually hinged would have taken more time and also given it more points of failure. The ramps and connectors are all Earthrise system A.I.R. Modulator system compatible. Download STL file Transformers Countdown Base • 3D print template ・ Cults
Hey guys, its been awhile since I was last on this forum. Sufficient to say life has hit me, and my niece a devastating blow, but now things are slowly starting to move forward again. Hope everyone is well. Just letting you all know I'm ready to get back in the saddle and start getting the 'ol grey matter working again. I've still got my Steeljaw and Ramhorn finished, but I might put those on the back burner and start on the Micromasters. Got to say, Ive had a look at the projects people have been posting whilst I was away, looks like I've got a lot of catching up to do. Anyways, hope to have something to share soon.
As promised....it begins. only been able to spend about an hour on him so far, but here is where I am with the 1st of the Micromasters. I'm thinking of making 2 variants of each, 1st a to scale ( as much as possible ) to the originals and the 2nd being slightly upscaled so I can fit some articulation.

Also just uploaded my add-on kit for @MrUniqZ 's add-on kit for Titans Return Skullsmasher to convert it into Horri-bull as well. My kit adds hind legs, 3-toed front paws, a piece to lock the beast mode head in place and a couple pieces for the tail gun https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/art/titans-return-horri-bull-conversion-add-on-for-tr-skullsmasher
Download file MicroMaster scaled Optimus • 3D printer template ・ Cults Finally up on cults for those who want it. Sorry for the delay, been super busy and haven't gotten to work on things like I wanted.
Ok, so..all I got to do now is make sure my trusty 'ol Ender 3 is still working after being in storage for so long and I can begin test printing. Think im going to do them in sets of four once they're ready to go, then once each set is complete, i may make an "oversized " version of each one in the set with more articulation. Should keep me busy for awhile. Least the misses will appreciate the quiet lol.
I posted these under the Radicons thread, but I thought they’d fit here too: Faux G2 sound boxes for selects Ramjet and Sandstorm….
