Oh phew, I thought that meant that he wasn't going to be made if that other 100 wasn't met...

    Thanks for the heads up!

Would it be alright for you to do a couple of update posts?

Just a few pics and sentences informing on any progress in order to preserve interest (a lot of us have pretty low attention spans because there are just so many toys in a small amount of time).

With injection plastic that means it'll be like a normal figure and not 3d printed or resin right? Abs plastic? I love this project but I've had rare resin figures break on me

Yes, it will be like a normal toy. With PP (polypropylene) and ABS plastic parts Just like every other 3rd party figure on the market.

I was hoping that announcement would drive sales and I would be able to make the expansion required. It did not. I'm still about 100 units from the price of the injector. I will not go back on my word however, so we will wait. The toys will be made of PP and ABS. I will start production once I have the money to proceed. I am working on alternate means of funding, which is slow. I am also working on updated prototype pictures. I might even send a prototype out to Peaugh or someone to review (a prototype mind you not anything finished). Would you all like that? Or would you rather wait for something that will better resemble the finished product?

Good to know, now I am definitely interested. Also, I already admire the work you put in and I'm sure it will be great, but a review definitely could help get the word out. I'll admit, when it was printed I was gonna pass but I saw a post on twitter about you injecting it and it made me decide to preorder.

While I personally would LOVE to see a prototype in a reviewer's hands, I'm not sure it's the best idea to be honest. Many folks tend to ignore words like "test shot" or "early prototype" when watching reviews, and bitch and moan about every issue the item has as if it's the final product that will be in their hands by tomorrow. :lol

However if a reviewer DOES handle it, just have them emphasize every other word that it's a prototype.;)

Vangelus reviews prototypes fairly though. Who else?

Idk if Tjomega does prototypes, but he’s a giant Galaxy Force fan so I can see him giving very positive feedback that might draw in buyers

Nevermind, then. How about advertising on other sites, like Seibertron?

I think that you just need to get your name out to as many fans as possible in order for you to meet your funding goals. Maybe reaching out to @Vangelus would help with this?

Quick question though, the manual assembly of figures will take a while (cutting the pieces off the sprues, screwing pieces together, paint applications, etc.) so how are you going to accomplish this in an economical and swift manner? Are you going to hire extra help or are you planning on physically putting together 100+ figures alone?

Edit: The issue might be also due to the fact that Scattershot, as fun as his toy was, wasn't exactly memorable as a character (in comparison to Armada Starscream, Sideways, Tidalwave, etc.). Maybe if you reveal renders of a more well-known character, let's just say Demolisher, for example, you'll be more successful in bringing in attention. (Plenty of other 3rd party companies do this to build up hype.)

Also, by chance are you working on a Side Swipe? It would be amazing if you managed to make a good Side Swipe figure that doesn't look like absolute trash. (There would also be amazing repaint opportunities.)

if you made a sideswipe...ANY sideswipe, you would have my money. I really do hope that find success with this. I do feel as though both Cybertron and armada are a bit of a tough sell but there is certainly a market for them. Another option would be to try your hand at some BW TM2 characters.

I'd happily take a look at the prototype and make a video review but my channel is small so it may not get much traction. Wouldn't hurt to have something that people can see transformed and articulated though.

It just needs to be better than the original Armada toy. ;)
