Dumb question, but these are licensed, right? Like an official product?

They do look amazing. Too bad they didn't start with G1 figures!...which is great for my wallet.

Yes these are officially licensed. Currently we only have the license for Dark of Moon.

Japan retail orders are shipping out currently. This is the first wave of shipping (Really complex figure so it took a lot longer than anticipated to manufacture). The ones distributed in Japan have different packaging than the orders outside of Japan. Brent (our art director) crushed it on both styles of packaging, but I think the Japanese editions look especially keen.

Next wave of orders from Bamba and Retail will be shipping out soon. Arrival times will vary depending on retailer location.

    Thanks for checking in.

Any idea yet if you guys will go beyond the initial 4? I remember you saying you'd love to do Shockwave next. I'll be in heaven if that happens!

    These look WONDERFUL!

    Thanks.

Thanks for the update! Great to hear that Bamba orders will be shipping out soon.

Hope you guys go beyond Dark of the Moon or put out characters beyond Starscream from this movie.

I just really hope they get the licenses for the entire first trilogy. I'd absolutely buy an ROTF Megs to go with my Prime and probably by Blackout, Ironhide and Jazz.

For folks that have them/receiving soon, I'd love to see some poseability shots. He looks awesome, but most pics I'm seeing he basically standing. How much articulation do these have? I'd love to see some pics showing that off more. Thanks in advance.

Sorry to derail the thread, but as others have said, we'd love if you guys got the license for the first 2 movies! If you made Blackout, you'd have us eating out of the palm of your hand

You've looked at the first page of this thread, right? (I think there are more somewhere else in the thread as well)

Sweet. To piggyback on the other questions, are there plans to release a downsized version of Bumblebee sometime in the future, similar to 3A's Half-Size Metal Gear Solid Rex and Ray figures?

I think more than a few of us would buy that just so the figures can scale better with one another in a display together. I know I would. As is, I'm passing on Bee mostly because he's way too big in relation to the other figures in the line, IMHO.

Hopefully more of the "smaller" characters are in the pipeline like Barricade, Soundwave, and Sideswipe, but again, scale is a sticking point for me. Sentinel Prime, Shockwave, and Ironhide would be awesome too, though.

This is why scale matters. They look good together!

    By Primus, that's beautiful.
I can hardly wait to have Optimus, Bee, Ironhide and Ratchet vs Megatron, Starscream, Barricade and Soundwave in my collection.

    Man, he looks really good.
Very nice weathering and even dirt in the tires. :)
    I'm impressed.
And you're right- Google translate is not our friend. lol
However, I was able to glean some important points, such as being sturdy and "clicking" during posing,
which, to me, means ratcheting joints. Good to know.
I can't wait to have this figure.
    Thx for sharing.

Apparently you got more from that review than l did.
Thanks for breaking it down a bit more.

I check this thread at least once every two days hoping for good news or at least a youtube review. I think I'm overly excited about 3A transformers.

Hey, my pleasure. (Given my quasi-obsession with these pieces)
Yeah, I was just able to decipher little snippets. lol
But I'm only assuming the "clicking" referred to ratcheting joints, as he was talking about poseability. And he seemed pleased.

And I'm with ya, except I check this forum more than that. :-/
I also can't believe how giddy I am about these damned things.
3A really are doing some nice work. It takes a lot to pull off what they're doing and their effort shows.
As has been said ad-infinitum, it would be a shame if they stop after Starscream.
I must say that I'd literally buy any they offer.
Guess we'll just have to wait and see how things pan out.
Thx again for posting the review! Helps tide me over. :)

I really wish we could contact 3A collectively and tell them how badly we want other characters. I think every movie fan imaginable would rejoice if Blackout came to fruition.

Bumblebee looks amazing, so I'm sure they can do it

I see no reason why we couldn't make an effort to do that. Power in numbers. :)
And I'm with ya, Blackout would be INCREDIBLE. Just sucks that they only have the DOTM license right now.
That said, there are a ton from DOTM that I'd love to see! But hell yes, anyone would want Blackout. lol
They should try to get the rights to all films, as Prime 1 seems to have done.
So, for my part- 3A!! Make that shit happen!!! Pretty please? :)
    WE WILL buy the stuff!

In all seriousness, I'm all for doing whatever we can to bug the hell out of them and convince them to make more.

Decemberist does pop through here periodically (he's involved in making these things- possibly the model maker). I think he's somewhat aware.

Yes. I know. I've communicated with him numerous times.
He seems like a swell guy.
But I felt like saying it, anyway.
    No harm, no foul. Right?

Absolutely! The more we say it, the more we remind him.
