Wish they went back to the early movies but I'm honestly just happy to see that they're going to continue the series in general. Was bummed out thinking the ones they did for DOTM was the last.

 

I agree. I'd prefer characters from the prior three movies also. I'm not a fan of the "new" designs.

Although, I'd love a Lockdown and maybe Ratchet. We'll see.
I was going to purchase Comicave's Optimus, but I'm going to save my money for the inevitable 3A rendition.

 

Nice! Interested to see what characters they do and how they turn out.

Wife will kill me if i get more. Not sure how to feel about this. I literally may have to hide them if I get more. This is not a good situation to be in. Maybe if I liquidate a big enough section of my current collection with the understanding I was doing it to pay for more of these things?

Happy for everybody else though.

Maybe the worst/best part is you know we'll get 60's BB now. He's such an easy remanufacture/repaint. I LOVE that guy.


Also if we get enough of these that I don't/can't have a complete collection I'll almost certainly sell off Megatron.

 

This will make me broke. The guys alluded to this when I was talking to them Saturday at TFcon and later that night I let my wife know these might be coming. Now it's confirmed! Can't wait to see.

So if 3A is now developing stuff before the movie release (the way Hasbro does), does that mean we will now get $400 toys based off designs changed at the last minute in the movies and aren't screen accurate?

 

(actually I imagine they'll start with AOE stuff for exactly that reason)

 

If they don't do Grimlock, I will cry. NEED him. I'm excited that we might get the new Megatron as well.

Seriously, this is the level of expense we're going to have to pay to get decent figures, isn't it? And even then they don't transform. I need to win the lottery  

 

4Ever's stuff will probably be a little cheaper.

It will be interesting to seewhich ultimately ends up being the more desirable line. 3A now has more product out, which is funny because last week it looked like 4Ever would probably ulimately have a more comprehensive line (as well as being a little cheaper, smaller and more detailed). Now that 3A is going to go further, it's less clear which will be the long term best line.

Ok. So they have TLK license, and since we have a bee, prime, starscream and megatron from them already. I'm betting we get hot rod, barricade, new prime and new megatron. People keep saying lockdown and 60's bee but they 3a doesn't have the AOE license so I don't think we will see either of those.

Still gonna grab comicave Optimus. He just seems like a more premium figure compared to 3a and in time could be sold to pay for a couple of these guys down the road if needed.

So the reality is that they stopped doing the characters from the older movies so they could work on the stuff for the newer movies

 

I can't speak for sure to exactly who posted the begining of the thread, but it does expressly mention AOE as well at the end. For now I have to assume it is accurate and they will be hitting both movies (it does appear to be directly from 3A).
