Hello, decemberist! Will the Cybertron version of Bee include blade?
There is no excuse for 3A not to do every figure from now on. They have a smaller scale that is available and more people seem to be interested.
I'm definitely down for Optimus Prime.
I'll probably get Blitzwing because the design is awesome and easily lends itself to retooling as the other Seekers. I'm not sure how many Seekers I'd buy beyond Blitzwing besides Starscream.
I'll get Dropkick and Shatter depending on what else I have going on.
I'd be interested in Soundwave (especially if he came with Ravage) and Shockwave.
I'm not interested in the Cybertronian Bumblebee at all.
PLEASE DO A CYBERTRONIAN BUMBLEBEE, even if it is a limited run.
I am hoping that Bee's blade will come with the Blitzwing release. In terms of the Optimus Prime figure, I would prefer the Cybertronian version and that is why a Cybertronian Bee would go well with it.
I'm not usually one to even consider buying a non-transforming Transformer, but god damn...that Bumblebee review really has me wanting this now.
Got our copy in hand. Pics in progress. Feel free to ask Qs until I get finished here.
Some first run shots.
Is anything outside of the skeleton metal?
Dammit, looks like I gotta get this.
Such a high quality looking figure. Makes the masterpiece versions look like mere toys.
I guess my main question is: is it awesome? On a scale of 1-10 how awesome is it? And will you be comparing it to other 3A figures?
1. Never handled 3A, any worries on the paint wearing off?
3. Any worries about the build quality?
I believe knees down, whole shin and foot.
9. -1 for no Transformation.
But seriously, for what it is, it's tops. I've handled all the 3A TFs since the first Bee, and watched them refine quality over time. First couple felt like you could break it easy if you put pressure wrong, and bits popped off a lot. The last 2 TLK premium figures were much easier to move around naturally and had less kibble pop offs.
This one takes that even further. It's a posing figure, you can move it around at will for the most part without worrying about things breaking. It feels hefty, solid. And the joints are smooth but tight, it holds the pose you put it in, everywhere.
And yes, I do have some shots next to the big ones.
1. no, not at all.
2. Yes, weighted well. Especially at the bottom near feet which is great for posing.
3. No, it's the best yet IMO. Moving and posing this guy all over the place without that pins and needles "OMG DON'T BREAK HIS LEG OFF" feeling.
Couldn't agree more in regards to 3A’s refinement of the figures over the years. Much improved!
Now I'm looking forward to getting my copy even more, this is exactly what I was hoping he was going to be.
Some more shots before bed. Stand and posing capabilities. Will dig into the fancy pants stuff tomorrow.
What an absolutely beautiful figure. He looks amazing in every single one of those photos.
Still, I’m definitely going to wait for the Premium version. As amazing as he looks, I think I want him in a bigger size. Even if size is the only improvement (plus the sword) then it’ll already be pretty much perfect.
Great pictures BTW. Any pictures with other MP figures for scale comparison; OP, Meg, car bots and/or other? Thanks
Looking forward to getting this also. The only non-transforming figure I own is the DMK OP (model kit)
Wow now I'm even MORE excited for this! Thanks for answering our questions!
He looks like as much fun as the movie was. You're very creative with your poses, too! My last question for now would actually be about the stand: How's the connectivity and solidity?
Nice, thank you.
