These pics really make me want to keep this guy and open him up, but I already ordered the Premium scale so I likely won't have much of a need for this one. I really kinda want to sell it, but also keep it...

Not very high. Definitely a few months away from that release.

The reason for the lack of military marking is strictly a licensing issue. Hasbro had us remove them to avoid any potential problems with the USAF.

We use the ILM film CAD model as a base for the sculpt. If you're talking about the antenna on the back of his head, it's in the film and can be seen in the screen caps.

Ironically I had left over USAF stickers from Takara MP-03 Starscream and added the star logo

Out of curiosity, was this the same method used to sculpt back during the first 3A TFs? DOTM Megatrons chest was surprisingly... different. Anyway I can't wait for you guys to return to the original 3 movies. And to not do Bees and Optimus.

The process was a bit different on those. We had access to hi-res assets and 3D models, but a lot of the elements on the DOTM TF's were hand sculpted.

Thank you for clarifying, the last thing I'm curious about is, you are right about there being pointed parts on the head, but in the film on the very top of the head there are two points side by side but on the figure there is only one which acts as a button, on your new 19" Blitzwing coming out I noticed they are on that head sculpt but not the deluxe version, why is that? Here is the photo showing the two points on the top of the head plus the point on the back of the head: [IMG]

Doesn't it still say USAF, in the official "Amarillo" font the USAF uses, on the sides of the calves? Or am I looking at pre-production pics?

(also, the "star and bar" insignia on the wings, cannot be owned by the USAF, as multiple branches use it and it predates the existence of the USAF's formation, and no model kit decal maker has to license that marking AFAIK)

(of course, the markings are 90% Navy anyways, it appears to have been a last-minute change to the CG model that turned it from a pretty accurate Navy F-4, into a weird Frankenstein of "has mostly Navy aspects and markings, but says USAF on it" F-4)

It still says VF-151 on the legs, which is the Navy squadron the overall markings are actually based on.

...the inner thigh count is correct, the others aren't well-illuminated in this screenshot...

Haha, I look for accuracy in figures/statues I plan to spend a good amount of money on. I happen to be observant and notice details missing. On a product that costs nearly $200 and is claimed to be screen accurate, I want to make sure it is before making the purchase. I don't just take a companies word for it, not after so many companies have failed to deliver accurate products.

Man, you guys are intense. I have the 3A-Bee release. And it's a pretty gorgeous figure. Sturdy, and well made. Evokes the character beautifully.
Granted, I haven't measured the screw holes compared to my actual VW Beetle car... so the figure might be a POS and I just don't know it yet.
