This is exactly why I think 3A is a bit more superior than Prime 1 Studios. 3A gives you the same well detailed statue, albeit a little smaller, for a fraction of the cost of a P1S statue, but they also make them poseable. After I am done saving up for a PS4, I might start saving up for these statues.

I never liked Bumblebee's look, but this is definitely changing my mind. I only bought Optimus from 3a's store thinking he was the only one from this line I was going to purchase, but I'm seriously considering changing my mind on that.

I love 3a and Threezero. I hope they do more Transformers after the four they plan on doing. There robots are the best.

absolutely gorgeous.. but.. are his wrists articulated? it looks like he's got gorilla arms.

anyways.. i seriously cannot wait for 3A's starscream.

i really wish i could afford all of them.. but if i could only get one, starscream would be it.

His wrists are ball jointed so you can rotate them till your hearts content.

Owning some of the Prime 1 Studios stuff, they are much more detailed. Including articulation, you do have to sacrifice some of the look and aesthetic to incorporate that inclusion of articulation. I don't think one is more superior than the other....just different.

The nifty weathered paint job on him got me thinking just generally about the films' aesthetic - if he could transform, wouldn't he look like a battered old piece of crud with dings and scrapes everywhere? The movie dudes must surely be the easiest ones for people on the lookout to suss out, just look for a bunch of cars and trucks that look like hell..!

Cool figure, in any case, though the sheer cost and size would put me off personally.

Excellent.. I couldn't imagine that with that number of joints that the wrists wouldn't be moveable.

I hope we see more shots of starscream soon.

It was explained somewhere (must be on the comics) that once they transform into Vehicle Mode, there is a repair functionality using the liquid metal "skin" the Cybertronians have.

    About 4 Benjamins.

Looks worth it, but just tough to swallow. especially if you start getting the feeling you need all of them...

Beautiful figure. Just wish Bee was smaller and clocked in around 9 or 10 inches instead so he'd scale better with the other 3 figures in this line (all 3 which should be around 18.5 inches). Bee being so out of scale is the main reason why I passed on this figure. He seems to scale best with Prime 1 Studios' Optimus Prime statue (which is around 24+ inches, I believe).

I did plunk down preorders at Bambaland for both 3A Megatron and Optimus. Just waiting for them to open up preorders for Starscream, my most anticipated figure. I consider Optimus, Megatron, and Starscream to be my "Big 3" TF characters anyway and don't mind owning multiple iterations of those guys.

But if 3A/ThreeZero happen to make a similarly sized Barricade or DOTM Soundwave to go against Bee, I may change my mind about picking up this guy later down the road (I don't mind missing out on the Space Bridge control pillar bonus accessory that was exclusive to Bambaland's Bee preorder).

Part of me hopes 3A/ThreeZero releases Bee in a smaller size point like they're doing with Metal Gear Solid's Half-Size Ray and Rex figures, however unlikely that would be.

I think I read an interview where a designer for the Bayverse films explained that having the bot modes look battle damaged with dings and scratches made them look more realistic on screen. Having the bot modes look all shiny and new with no blemishes whatsoever didn't quite work to sell the illusion that these were giant robots interacting with live human actors and real world environments, apparently, or that the Cybertronians were combat hardened soldiers fighting a civil war. Naturally, the vehicles modes were all shiny and new looking probably to help sell their respective licensed automotive brands better. GM has to push the Camaro as hard as they can, after all. :D

Looks great. I we hoping 3A would have done a stylized version of G1/comic Optimus and Bee, like their Iron Man/Doom but no denying this is a work of art.
