I hadn’t gotten any figures in almost six months. I walked into TRU and there sat an Octane, Blitzwing, and Skyshadow. There was no stopping me.

 

If by then there is Hasbro Asia release for the Golden Lagoon MP10, it will be great news as more collectors will be able to get their hands on this piece.

 

Anyone seen an MP-10 GL pre-order yet?

 

Not to bump this, but are we thinking the GL Preorders will go wider than places like Robot Kingdom?

Good gods those boxes are cool.

 

They should be since most of the sets are TTM exclusives. BBTS etc usually do get them at the obvious mark up. I think the only one that realistically would be a bit of a pain to get would be the MP Prime being a Wonderfest exclusive. Those are just notoriously difficult to get.

 

I saw a Starscream pre-order on eBay the other day (the seller was yagamitsuki / Luna Sea, 100% feedback) but I didn't bite personally (with the figure not due to be released for a couple of months, there's a danger of losing PayPal protection).

Bear in mind that Starscream hasn't even gone live on the TakaraTomy Mall website yet (I think pre-orders open on Monday?), and there was a few days' delay between the Perceptor 3-pack going on sale on TTMall, and RobotKingdom getting their pre-orders up - I can only imagine that RobotKingdom logged onto the TTMall shop the old-fashioned way and pre-ordered few dozen copies to sell at a mark-up on their site, as a service to their customers outside of Japan (TTMall doesn't ship outside of Japan).

While these TTMall figures are generally sold as online exclusives in Japan, they usually see regular retail release in other parts of Asia (e.g. Hong Kong) thanks to Hasbro Asia's distribution network (as was the case with the MP Coneheads, UW Defensor etc.), which meant that previous TTMall "exclusives" haven't been super-hard to come by.

But as far as I know, there's been no indication as to whether the Golden Lagoon figures will get a Hasbro Asia release, which is a bit worrying... we usually know one way or the other by this point.

Best-case-scenario is these figures get a regular release in the rest of Asia thanks to Hasbro, and they'll be carried by your usual favourite retailers.

Worst-case-scenario is that Hasbro Asia doesn't stock these, they remain Takara Tomy Mall exclusives, and then the only way to get these will be from RobotKingdon and eBay... or you could set up a proxy shipping account with someone like Tenso, and order them from the TTMall yourself.

 

That boxart. See, this is how Takara always suckers me into buying their exclusives.

That Starscream is going to flake all to hell over time but I so badly want PotP Starscream to have a golden arm.
