Oh so now we know..it's a statue & not a new Prime/Convoy mold.

Looks very striking & some elements of MP-01 there. Plus the thighs reminds me of the IDW version too.

Eh, too stylized for me... Don't like a lot of the overly sculpted details, surprisingly... The smokestacks, head "antenna", etc...

It looks good, but the smokestacks seem too long/large?

it's not a statue imo, it seems an action figure, like the Ultrametal one.... the sculpt is incredible anyway :O

Interesting to see his gas tanks molded onto his thighs and I prefer the Ultimetal pointy ears, but all in all, I need to buy this:D

Definitely seems that it is not just a static statue but a poseable figure. The arms and shoulders alone look to have articulation, the side skirts seem split for leg movement. It looks good but doesn't seem to be based off any one specific design but has various design element in one. Those shoulder stacks look rather odd being so big, but for some reason seem kind off familure.

An Optimus that is so full of detail that it looks like it transforms.....but doesn't.
    Diabolical.

Devil's advocate: If its just a prototype shot, It could very well just be parts put together, giving the impression of joints...but in reality, if the negetive is made from this, it will just be a statue that looks like it can move.

Would be cool if it was like a "super articulated" action figure type..but im not seeing THAT level of movement from what I see.

Uhh... really? I mean, I'm not saying *YOU* hafta buy them, but that's a pretty fairly-spaced margin, don't you think? When I "grew up" (by mistake, I assure you!), I spent a few years "out of the game" in regards to TF collecting, so I don't have any of these types of things! For me, even after Platinum Prime, this still seems like something that might be worthwhile - a true commemorative, with more detail than anything I've ever seen Transform! Ordinarily, I'd hate on a non-TF'ing TF, but the detail, the Anniversary (Thrilling 30), and...

-- Rescue Bots Optimus Primal! I'm not even kidding, this thing re-awakened my appreciation for non-articulated/poseable figures! Its immobile legs are UNSHAKEABLE, and the detail, sturdiness, and non-invasiveness of the gimmicks are beyond reproach!

So - 30th Anniversary Prime? Here I come!

I'd suggest putting that in a separate thread before people start complaining.

    Friends look wrong thread

I collect statues of all types (He-man, TF, GI Joe, Movie, etc) so I for one would be more than happy if this was a true statue and not articulated in any way.

Still waiting on Ultimetal (how many months behind are we?!), but eager to see this new prime in color and did out pricing info. If it poses like it looks like it will, cash will be spent!

I guess I just don't see a lot of need for this when we've already got like twelve versions of Masterpiece Prime. I'm getting bad flashbacks to action masters... but nowadays the masterpiece toys look almost exactly like the cartoons were MEANT to, AND they transform.

More power to you though if you looked at MP-10 and thought "this needs more gribbly bits."

He looks like he must transform due to some of the strange design cues they chose. But then he looks like he clearly doesn't.

    Strange.
