*Damn. Instinctively typed Minicon when it should have be Micron. Can a mod change the title?*

I must say, that's thoughtful and smart. Definitely makes the Treadshot figure more attractive, and they get in a clever reference to the 2007 movie.

Anyone have experience with these molds in weapon mode? Will they look good with the figures?

What molds are those? Arms Microns?

    Looks like Catgut is Jida?

    http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Jida

    Frenzy is Sou?

    http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Sou

    Stylor is S.2?

    http://tfwiki.net/wiki/S.2

So Chromedome has a Stylor who turns into a bow? That's weird.

Barricade's Frenzy becomes a circular saw? That works great.

Jida wasn't hard to get ahold of, as he was also sold seperately in red. You could probably paint one up easy.

Hey, I could just start now and repurpose my red Jida as SG Catgut!

For reference, Frenzy is a redeco of Sou:

Stylor is a redeco of S.2:

And Catgut is a redeco of Jida:

This is a really cool idea, though I don't quite get the mould choice for Frenzy... I guess the link is saw blades?

Well it sucks that Catgut isn't a gun, but I guess that mold has enough guns (also, new toy called "Catgut" wtf?)

    That Frenzy is frellin' brilliant.

    Stylor...ok, I guess he's a bow now.

If these Microns are painted, let alone half as nicely as that official artwork suggests...impressive.

Catgut kinda makes sense though, he's a cat, and his alt mode will gut you cuz he's a freaking chainsaw!

Very impressive. Are we sure that Frenzy isn't actually C.J.? From the pic I can see it being either

You mean C.L.? Cliffjumper's partner. No, look at the symbol on his chest. It's Sou.

I'm really into Barricade getting a Frenzy teammate. Even more that he'll turn into a saw, just like that saw-mace thingy movie Barricade had.

What would be an even better idea is if at this years Botcon there was an anniversary set of microns that would partner with every HM/TM/AM homage FP has done to date.

I guess it's a good thing I'm only buying MPs now as I'd be tempted to get these guys if I still collected mainline stuff.

    That would be what?

    Headmasters
    - Hardhead (Headrobots already did this)
    - Scorponok maybe?

    Targetmasters
    - Slugslinger (Mastershooter Collectibles already did this)
    - Spinister (Mastershooter Collectibles already did this too)

    Action Masters
    - Banzaitron

I'm a minicon collector, so I'll definitely be getting these.

It is a nice touch, and a way to bring over some figures that haven't been imported by Hasbro and probably never will.

I'm wondering if these will be fully assembled (like the O.P. and Bogu from that Optimus/Unicron two-pack) or if they'd actually still come as kits like all the other non-Gashapon Arms Microns. I'm thinking the former, since some of the trees they come on are bigger/wider than the average mailing box used on the deluxes.

With Frenzy and Stylor you could make two thirds of the Leonid Tonfa weapon, but then you need the Micron from Leo Prime to finish it.

I'm duly impressed, and will almost certainly sign up, although I'm increasingly scared about how much Fun Pub is likely to charge for all of this cool stuff.

This is the only thing that worries me on this so far.
