My comic store decided to sell a ridiculous number of comics for 25 cents each. There were old and new, popular and unknown, titles spread throughout 20 long and short boxes. Long story short, I bought 67 comics for $16. Among those comics, I picked up (for 25 cents each): All of Ultimate Nightmare Supreme Power #1-13, sans #12 which I'll find soon U.S. War Machine vol.2 The Dark Knight Strikes Again #2 and #3 (25 cents each!) Hulk Gray #1-4 Several (SEVERAL) assorted issues, ie, some of the Kang arc in Avengers vol.3, #1-5 of Doctor Spectrum (sans #3), MK Elektra and Alias #1, etc. Too bad I won't have much time to read them just yet, with school and all, but it's a pretty prideworthy haul nonetheless, I'd say. Oh, and I got a free short box as well.
Nice haul. My local comic shop just had a sale as well. Picked up the Asamiya Batman tpb for $15, all of Identity Crisis for $12, and the Transformers G2 tpbs (collecting issues 1-6 and 7-12 of the G2 comics, which I think is the entire run) for $2.50 each. At this same store about a year ago I picked up the entire Dreamwave Armada run for $1 an issue. Gotta love comic shop sales .
the store i go to (or went to for the time being) did it with their back issues...i spent like $40 on it..its good to reminisce...
Ultimate Nightmare does in fact have Captain Marvel in it however the entire Ultimate Trilogy is about Gal-Ack-Tus, or however they are spelling it.
