I bought this thing as soon as it came out and after many many hours of scrutiny, I can tell you that I still have no idea where Weirdwolf is. Does anyone else know? I'm talking about the big poster that's supposed to have every G1 character in it.
The 20th Anniversary Lithograph...is not perfect. I myself noticed that Counter-Punch was not represented on the Decepticon side, whereas both versions of Doubledealer were there. I PM'd DON(the artist) through these boards, and he let me know that beyond that, the litho was also missing "the individual Seacons, Deceptitran, Optronix/Orion Pax, Dion, G2 bots, and Unicron". Furthermore, there are TWO Gears in the litho. One is under Prime's right arm, and the other is under Bumblebee's left arm. Swerve is conspiciously also absent, so I believe this to be a colouring error. Also, beside Prowl's left arm is a yellow bot that I believe is Nightbeat's Headmaster partner, Muzzle. This is contrary to the rest of the poster, where all the Headmaster partners are acting as heads(except for Spike, but he's allowed, cuz Cerebros is acting as Fort Max's head). There are likely more minor flaws in the litho(Weirdwolf, for example), but I like to look at them as an hommage to the animation errors in the cartoon. This IS a Generation One poster, after all.
I never noticed Weirdwolf was missing or those other errors for that matter. I've never been able to find Apeface though.
That's one good excuse for all those errors (I never noticed all of the other ones you mentioned, though). It's still one great piece of work, probably the best Transformers art out there, in my opinion, at least. Thanks for the info.
