You realize they cut their scenes together entirely that would’ve shown this?…what’s with you and shutting out everyone else’s ideas yo? Look I ain’t saying anything about your OTP preference cause that’s you, but the rest of us here would’ve loved to seen an actual full on relationship aspect explored in a franchise where the only time we’ve seen it was in obscure media and in the original shows briefly…

Some people take relationships between fictional characters a little too seriously. OTP means "One True Pairing" if I'm not wrong. Early 2000s tumblr shit I think lol, sth like that

I’m not the only person though that’s why but it’s good they took it out which makes me happy even if they already rendered it in

People having ships or OTPs of two fictional characters they like is a thing in 2023, yes I know it's a shocker

Looking at the previs pics released a couple days ago, though none of them were used in my version, the maksless head of Scourge DOES look familiar. I could have sworn he had a mustache in my version, but ALL the promotional material and even concept art didn't have that, so I thought I was just crazy, but that head shown in the previs pics and the toy having the stache makes me more confident that he had it in the early cut.

Thanks for all the info on the early screening. I believe all the changes were made based on early screening input, so if there is anyone to blame for the final cut then it is so it could appeal to a broader audience (as opposed to us hardcore fans). I think the old scenes being deleted were mostly for pacing and allowed this movie to be the shortest of the live action movies. Modern movies are just too long and if something can be cut without too much an impact then it is for the better.
That being said, the character development of the robots was better than the previous movies. considering the larger cast. The Bumblebee prequel only had 3 robots that mattered (even the short-lived appearances of Blitzwing and Cliffjumper were adequate). In ROTB all the main robots showed some character development (though Cheetor and Rhinox could have said more, their actions defined them).
As for an extended cut, history shows that the theatrical and home video releases are identical. Paramount is not going to add more scenes to the home video release. The exception was the Revenge of the Fallen Walmart Big Screen Edition, and that was based on the theatrical IMAX version. The hope is that some of the changed/ deleted scenes would appear as extras on the blu-ray release like in the Bumblebee movie.

My friend Nicolas Lesage shared some behind-the-scenes footage of the Transit fight with me:

I should have some more soon where you can see the Decepticon insignia on the front of the bus.

What are you on about? Arcee has 2 stable relationships in a row with IDW, Aileron and Greenlight, very much a big deal for her character either settling down or looking out for her family!

If they were more stable enough and if it went anywhere after that and not having different characters in her spot instead

I think to bring it to the topic, cutting Arcee and Wheeljack's little interactions was a mistake. While I think on the one hand it's not totally necessary? It's small things like that which show how these robots both have personality and are more human-like than what one may think and I feel like ROTB really needed more of just the robots being people.
