Oh my bad carry on lol
What? Nendoroid didn't announce they were doing Transformers
They did. Movie Bee and Prime both
Hey, you guys know how Lio Convoy was displayed alongside the Seacons?
Did anyone manage to translate what that display read regarding Hasbro?
They did. Based on the BB movie designs. There's a thread here: Nendoroid Bumblebee Optimus Prime & Bumblebee
Oh shit neat! I glazed over them thinking they were some tiny figurine merch
The text was just referring to Generations Select being an exclusive TT and Hasbro collaboration. No mention was made of Lio Convoy.
Or they're just not going to do it - the Hasbro one they consider ''good enough.'' It happens.
I agree, I had some thoughts on that here: Generations Select Series wishlist...
Great MP fugures
Definitely right on since they have the mold, anytime any day for TakaraTomy to do a repaint of King Poseidon.
That's my overall thought on the set.
Hasbro didn't have to do Liokaiser at all, but they did anyway. It's better than not getting one.
Tigatron price listed as 24000yen! ($218.18USD) Why so expensive?
sadly thats just how mp releases are these days
If I crap in a box and mark it TransFormers Lio Kaiser, is that better than not getting one?
He's a very poor Lio Kaiser at the end of the day. The whole Breastforce concept, unique to him as a combiner, is missing for starters. The limbs are new head reuses of molds that have maybe 10 other uses each. And the torso is a complete failure. He doesn't relate in alt mode form, robot form, or name. They tried to shoehorn 3 characters into a torso, one of which doesn't have anything to do with Lio Kaiser, all based on a design that has nothing to do with any of the 3 characters. Even the combined mode head is colored completely wrong, a totally unnecessary mistake.
So if you're a fan of Lio Kaiser for what he is, the only update he has received was by TFC Toys. Trust me when I say TakaraTomy knows this. If the Hasbro one was "good enough" to them, they would have found a way to release it by now. They even did a version of Victorion.
Be patient, spend your money on thoughtful quality product, and good things will come.
That's your opinion, and I disagree.
Thing is that they can think it's a bad Liokaiser and not be interested in doing another one for all kinds of reasons.
Its been years since Ive posted. My buying habits have changed and Im glad the topic that was near and dear to me is at least having its day in the sun now.
I understand the company recognizing a higher cost of goods and assembly complications.
But the QC problems plaguing MP mainline figures have existed heavily since MP09 and they haven't gotten better.
There was a period where Fans Toys were twice as expensive as MP figures and were challenging collectors to buy into tuem.
Eight years later and the reverse is true. But the cost for value differential isn't lending itself to bringing us all back to a point where Takara is the universally held gold standard of transformers products.
They just aren't anymore.
I really hope for the health of the brand and continued generations of fans, I really hope they sort out whatever the problem is that has led to these fantastic engineering marvels to become hollow, fragile, over priced and visually deteriorating models that once held such a strong place in many fans hearts.
3 years since my last post. Not sure I have another in me.
I\'m seeing nothing here, that Tigertron is 10+ years overdue though.
But...........Seeing them obliviously embracing the Bay movie Devastator is depressing
It's a set people want from a very popular series, f course they're going to.
