Goldbug Prime!

 

Ahh it's so obvious! "Bombus Prime!!"

 

I have prepared my disappointment for whatever out-of-touch-with-actual-audience nonsense Goldner will be forcing, so that if it actually is good it will actually impress me.

 

Neither Beemus Prime, Bumblemus Prime, Bumble Prime fit or sound good. Goldfire is the best IMO, I prefer it over Goldbug.

 

Maybe it's just me but that really didn't tell me anything.

At one point before Dark of the Moon Bay was talking about the next movie being a reboot and that didn't actually happen. Paramount tried to spin how Age of Extinction was going to be so different only for it to be more of the same. It seems like we get some vague lines about how they learned from past mistakes to make it sound like the next movie is going to get everything right.

Even if it really is a never before heard story of Bumblebee I'm just too burned out on the character to care. It could be the best story Transformers has ever had and I'd say pass just because I'm so tired of Bumblebee being forced on us in movies and cartoons.

While it is true that I love the brand in general I really don't expect the story line to feel either exciting or new. About the only way to get excited at this point is if they said a reboot that throws out all the movie stuff and starts fresh with a plan for the film series instead of make it up as you go along. Things like the Transformers detectors and humans can easily kill Transformers needs to be thrown away before I can get excited about the future of the movies.

 

Goldbug worked in G1 because of the 70s Beetle Alt mode. With modern Bumblebee being a muscle cat, Goldfire would work much better, though I could see a Con calling Movie Bee Goldbug as an insult.

I don't know why we're debating what name Bumblebee might get if he were made a leader or knighted. The G1 system was totally random anyway: it's 'take the initial letters of your existing name and think of two words that start with the same letters' if you're Optimus; 'take the second part of your name and add -imus Prime to it because it'll sound like another leader' for Hot Rod; 'don't even bother 'cause you're not actually worthy' when you're Ultra Magnus… lol  

 

Isn't one of the requirements being able to speak?

 

In ROTF, Sam pretty much confirmed Bee's been faking it since the end of the first movie.

 

Yeah I think I remember that, but I would consider a voice actor for Bumblebee as confirmation.

 

He has an official voice actor. Mark Ryan.

 

It's Micheal Bay, he announced it himself, the same way he announced the last two, on the movie prior he said " this will be my last one!"

 

i can see him do TF7.

 

i can't imagine he'd turn it down tbh, he obviously enjoys the work, and the non transformers movie he's made since this all began haven't touched the returns Transformers makes.

 

We'll get our first taste of a non-Michael Bay film with the Bumblebee movie but my bet is he'll be back for TF6 or TF7 or whatever that movie is supposed to be called.

 

Yeah, well I'll be looking forward to his actual voice in TF5.
Optimus began narratating in the first film, how would the reception be if Bumblebee did that for a change in TF5?

I hope/don't think they'll be using Ryan for Bumblebee anymore. Ryan's a great voice actor but AOE established Bee as way more youthful so I think they'll get a voice actor to match that.

 

My only problem with bumblebee voice actor is that he makes it sound to English. I never pictured Bumblebee as being British.
