Umm not going to lie, auto voted Skywarp just because I've been binging too much Thew lately. In all seriousness though voted for Siege Jetfire. Mighty tempted to vote for Six-Gun or Cog because of the sheer amount you can do with them, but Jetfire just blows them both away as a full package.
Yessss. But for god's sake, Hasbro please do some retooling for the other 2 CD dudes. Did you see this wonderful custom: that's how it's done.
Devastator for G1 character, Soundwave for Siege figure. I do really have a love-hate relationship with Soundwave, particularly his battle damage paint, but he deserves the score for being the first Soundwave toy in history to properly revive the G1-style cassette deployer gimmick.
Hauler and Galaxy Prime. Hauler was clearly the standout character of the first season and UT needs more love.
From two VERY limited lists (Apeface nor Spinister were even in it) I voted Devastator, because I want a new all deluxe Devastator. And Chromar, because his toy is actually one of the best in the line and we got a Chromar toy. And because we need to send a message to those bureaucrats in Pawtucket! With the obvious 84 bias of this survey that message needs to be sent more than ever.
i mean, i'm the first to defend g1 guys getting updated toys, but every candidate being not only g1, but the first season of the cartoon, too? not even 85-88 or comic book guys?
Voted Hauler because Hasbro actually remembered he exists and because I hope he gets a generations selects repaint from Grapple
I wonder if at some level Hasbro expected people to vote Hauler cause he was the most obscure of the limited list of characters to chose from.
...rumble and reflector!.. ...skyfire is an impressive figure to have at long last, but reflector's clever engineering, exemplary build quality, and long-overdue faithful representation is by far the standout of the year to me...
Welll, DUUUUH that Hauler is a contestant, with the new Grapple/Inferno mold, who do you think will definitely get a new toy under Studio Series, eh?
Sunstreaker/Jetfire for me. Though as a fan from all the way back in 84, I'm getting a little concerned with the continuous G1 push. Can we not focus ANYWHERE else? I personally enjoy Beast Wars more than G1 at this point, and wouldn't hate to see better updates of figures from the Unicron Trilogy.
Don't worry - next year the choices will all be the corrupt, murderous Autobots from the IDW comics. Or the murderous bro-dude Autobots from the Movies that love to bathe in the entrails of their enemies while screaming "I KILL YOU!" Or that one guy from the Unicron Trilogy who's dialouge is almost entirely "HUH!?!" (Pro-tip; It's all of them)
For G1, I voted Laserbeak. He was so versatile and invaluable to the Decepticons, early on. He could be used as a weapon or a spy. Most Decepticon plans would never have happened without the intel that he provided. I voted for Sideswipe on Siege. He was the figure that got me all in on Siege. Prior to him, I had bought Iron Hide and Hound. They were ok, but didn't really blow me away. At that time, I planned to only use Siege to supplement my existing collection, but Sideswipe changed all of that. I was completely amazed by his appearance, detail, articulation, and ease of his smooth transformation. He completely changed my expectation of how good a consumer grade Transformer could be.
