Figured if there was a Christmas 2012 haul thread, this thread was made with a purpose to ask all you guys what your FIRST purchases are for the first day of 2013. that is all. Fair enough, if the Mods decide otherwise, then kindly lock thread, please/
think there's been one of these first haul of the year threads almost every year. for me, a couple small things, capbot and code are the only things in the mail. first big haul of the year will come later
I might head to the stores since most of the major retailers will be open tomorrow. I'll post pics if I buy any TFs.
Well found an RTS Jazz at a drugstore, never had one before, so I was excited. I get home and one of the door speakers wasn't even packed in with him. Then I stop in Walmart and see a case of FOC W3 on a pallet, got Starscream myself. Got Starscream, Magnus, Kickback, and Sideswipe for my brother. I regret passing on Magnus, but I'll see him again hopefully. Though this one Walmart employee got REALLY pissed at me for taking the box... I knew they wouldn't do it for me, it was right on top of the stack, why bother an employee with it? I was buying 75 bucks worth of product, that doesn't even count the other 100 in groceries and other items... Go ahead, get mad at me for buying your products and retrieving them myself so I don't interrupt you texting your friends... They babbled something about me suing them too... Why would I sue them if I was the one pallet diving? If the boxes fall on me it's my fault, but the stack wasn't nearly that high, nor are they going to hurt me. Maybe I overstepped by bounds by opening the case, but there is no reason they should have gotten so volatile. Hell, I was going to put the rest of the figures on the pegs for them since the pegs were empty for all deluxes and take the shipping carton to the register with me just because I like storing my packages in them until they came stomping up to me. Oh well, never doing that again at Walmart... First and last time. ToysRUs though, never had a problem. Gotten some good scores from getting those boxes down, though I found out there are some cherry picking employees at my local TRU now... Brand new cases of GDO Voyagers with Hot Spot missing.
The amount you spend at a store does not give the the right to do what you want. There are a lot of cases where the customer is always right. And this is one of them.
There is nothing out at retail that interests me, however I am expecting some parcels.... They were ordered in 2012, but will be the first TF's I get in 2013 Dark Energon Deluxes and Voyagers, PRID Thundertron, Magnus and Skyquake and lastly MP-10 from Amazon UK, if it happens!
walmart customer service is a joke. i picked up a knockout from a cart and the lady scolded me, "don't touch that!" i told her to stfu in my head and did whatever i wanted to do. at least she was one of the few who speaks english though.
Will be grabbing a Henkei Prowl to replace one I sold last month in the next few days. Not much lined up until the end of the month. When the MP-13 Soundwave , AM Wildrider and Rumble / Frenzy ship.
