Just wanted to share ideas on, of the 2013 Generations figures announced, which ones have good repaint or retool potential. By all means chip in with your own ideas: Stealth Bomber Megatron looks like he would work as a TFA Megatron repaint Trailcutter is an obvious candidate for a Hoist repaint/retool but what about Skids also? Blitzwing is perhaps the best mold to date suitable for an Overlord repaint/retool Some crazier ideas Orion Pax or Trailcutter could possibly get away with being retooled into a new Ironhide Blitzwing as Punch/Counterpunch using a different face for each character and a different core color for each vehicle. Metroplex into Tidal Wave Any feedback or ideas?
Y'know if it had enough retooling... that could turn out to be pretty awesome. Very nice idea there! I'd actually want an Overlord remold out of Blitzwing. Never watched/read any of the series he was in though, but that mold just strikes me as a decent mold for him.
Orion Pax could be retooled into Ironhide, Thunderclash, probably two dozen other guys. How bout Bumblebee into a "Classics/Aligned" take on Movie Barricade?
Voyager Springer repainted & retooled into Sandstorm. Voyager Grimlock repainted & retooled into Overkill.
Springer is being repainted and retooled into Sandstorm. Sandstorm is shown on Metroplex's packaging artwork.
It's probably a given that Metroplex will be turned into Metrotitan, and yeah wouldn't be surprised if we got Sandstorm out of Springer.
As mentioned somewhere else in the forums - Springer - Sandstorm and Battletrap Blitzwing - Flywheels and Overlord Trailbreaker - Hoist and possibly Skids?? Metroplex - MetroTitan and I also like the Tidalwave idea.
That's supposed to be... Rodimus? I'm sure Trailbreaker into Hoist is already in the works, but I would like to give a big hell no on the Skids suggestion. "Honda Fit" Skids or bust. I would think that for there to be a Metrotitan redeco for Metroplex, it would have to be a proven seller first. I see it going to fans and collectors. The general buying public is an entirely different beast though. Hell, some have thrown it out there that Metroplex may be an SDCC exclusive, and I see that as entirely plausible.

Metrotitan is an obvious-er choice. Tidal Wave was specifically listed under the 'crazier ideas' section. But still a not simple repaint would be good for that figure and I believe Tidal Wave could be achieved with some minor retooling and repainting.
